Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Realme 12 Pro Plus — 3.91V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLPA35)
The BLPA35 is a 4850mAh Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original battery in the Realme 12 Pro Plus smartphone. It runs at 3.91V nominal and covers the full power draw from the processor, display, camera array, and radios. Swap this in when the original cell no longer holds voltage under load or swells past safe limits.
- Realme 12 Pro Plus fit: The BLPA35 part number is specific to this model. The connector pinout, physical cell dimensions, and BMS handshake protocol all match the 12 Pro Plus charge IC. Do not substitute cells from the standard 12 Pro — the BMS firmware differs.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge-discharge cycles through a full capacity verification pass. The BMS accepted the standard CC-CV charge profile without tripping and the cell held 4850mAh within rated tolerance across three consecutive cycles.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% after replacing the BLPA35
The Realme 12 Pro Plus fuel gauge IC builds its voltage-to-percentage map from the previous cell's discharge curve. After a cell swap, that map is stale. Under peak modem or display load, the new cell voltage drops faster than the IC predicts, and the phone shuts down to protect against going below the 3.0V hardware cutoff. This is a calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Run one full discharge to 1% followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% with fast charging off — the coulomb counter resets against the new curve and the premature shutdown stops.
USB-PD fast charge not triggering on the first cycle after installation
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the Realme 12 Pro Plus defaults to standard 5V charging until the BMS confirms cell state. On a new cell with no charge history, the BMS withholds the fast-charge handshake for the first cycle as a precaution. This is normal behaviour — not a fault with the cable, adaptor, or replacement cell. Complete one full slow-charge cycle to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger; the VOOC or USB-PD protocol will negotiate correctly from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Realme 12 Pro Plus shut off at around 25% after fitting the new BLPA35?
The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell voltage drops sharply under screen or modem load, the IC hits its low-voltage cutoff threshold earlier than the percentage shown suggests. Run one full discharge down to 1% — with fast charging disabled — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single recalibration cycle, the coulomb counter maps correctly to the new cell and the early shutdown stops.
The phone shows 100% but drops to 80% within minutes of unplugging — is the replacement cell faulty?
This is the fuel gauge IC reporting against an outdated full-charge reference, not a cell defect. The IC anchors its 100% reference point to the old cell's peak capacity; when the new cell delivers a different charge profile, the percentage scale compresses and appears to drain fast from the top. Force a complete recalibration: discharge fully to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session with fast charging off. The IC resets its reference voltage to 4.35V on the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises.
The Realme 12 Pro Plus feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after the swap — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been through several charge cycles. The charge IC pushes current into a higher-resistance cell, and that resistance converts some energy to heat — more so in the first two to three cycles before the cell's impedance drops to its rated value. Keep the phone out of a case and away from surfaces that trap heat for those first cycles. If the back stays warm beyond the third full charge cycle, check that the charge IC is not locked into fast-charge mode — drop it to standard 5V charging and measure again.
