Sale priceFrom $40.99 USD Regular price $50.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits Redmi K50, K50 5G, and model 22041211AC; replaces OEM battery part number BM5F.
Voltage 3.87V nominal, 5400mAh capacity; supplies sustained current to processor, modem, and display without voltage sag under peak load.
Connector slides into the factory slot with flat orientation; no adapter needed, retention tab locks flush against the housing edge.
We bench-tested the BMS on discharge cycles at 2A, 5A, and 10A; cutoff held steady at 2.5V per cell with clean voltage decay and no premature shutdown.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi K50 Series — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BM5F)

The BM5F is a 3.87V, 5400mAh (20.9Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Redmi K50, K50 5G, and model 22041211AC. It replaces the original battery when capacity has degraded to the point where the phone can no longer hold charge through a normal day. Dimensions are 89.30 × 65.15 × 5.20mm — verify these against your existing cell before installation.

  • K50 and K50 5G compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, BM5F part number, and power management interface. The 3.87V nominal voltage rail matches the PMIC spec across the entire K50 platform, so no adapter or connector modification is needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the BM5F through charge and discharge cycles on the K50 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC stepped through the correct constant-current and constant-voltage phases without thermal events.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate coulomb count against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the K50's modem transmits or the display peaks, it pulls a burst of current the new cell can't sustain at that state of charge — voltage drops below the PMIC cutoff threshold and the phone shuts off. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage reading doesn't match the new cell's actual voltage profile. Run one full discharge to near-zero and a full charge without interruption; the coulomb counter resets and the shutdowns typically stop.

USB-PD or proprietary fast charge not triggering after cell swap

On the first cycle after installation, the charge IC may not negotiate the fast charge protocol with the new BMS. This shows up as the phone pulling only 5W when it previously fast charged at higher wattage. The BMS on a fresh cell starts with conservative charge limits until it completes one baseline cycle. Complete one standard charge from low to 100% at normal speed — fast charge will resume on subsequent cycles once the BMS has cleared its first-cycle flag.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Redmi K50 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new BM5F — is the battery faulty?

Not necessarily faulty. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge. Under high-current load — modem bursts, screen brightness spikes — voltage drops below the PMIC cutoff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. Run one complete discharge to near-zero followed by a full uninterrupted charge; the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and the premature shutdowns typically stop.

The phone stayed off in a drawer for months and now won't power on at all — is it dead?

The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V to prevent damage. The phone won't respond to a normal power button press in this state. Connect it to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage recovers past that floor, the BMS releases and the phone will boot normally.

Battery percentage is jumping around — showing 60%, then 45%, then back to 58% within a few minutes. What's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and hasn't built a stable coulomb count yet. This erratic jumping is most visible in the first few charge cycles after a cell swap. Avoid charging in short bursts during this period. Complete two or three full discharge-charge cycles and the percentage readings will stabilise as the IC maps the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship.
