Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BC501ABE)
This is a 3.85V, 2650mAh (10.2Wh) Li-Polymer cell that replaces the original EB-BC501ABE battery in the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro and Galaxy C5 Pro Duos. It fits the GT-C501 and GT-C5010 variants using the same connector and BMS handshake as the factory unit. Swap it in when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge across a full day.
- Galaxy C5 Pro and C5 Pro Duos compatibility: Both the single-SIM and Duos variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — one cell covers all variants listed without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a Galaxy C5 Pro unit and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — the OS recognises the cell, accepts charge current, and reports capacity without error flags.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy C5 Pro after a cell swap
The Galaxy C5 Pro's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve data from the previous cell after a swap. When the new cell hits a voltage point the old curve maps to 20–30%, the IC reports a sharp drop and the OS triggers an emergency shutdown — even though physical charge remains in the cell. The fix is a full, uninterrupted discharge down to automatic shutdown followed by a complete charge to 100% with the phone off or idle. After one full cycle the coulomb counter resets against the new cell's actual curve and the shutdowns stop.
Fast charging not activating after replacing the EB-BC501ABE cell
Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging protocol requires the charger, the charge IC on the board, and the battery BMS to complete a handshake on the first charge session. A new cell's BMS starts in a conservative state and may reject the elevated current on the very first cycle. If fast charge is not triggering, use the original Samsung charger — third-party adapters can stall the handshake permanently on that session. Charge to 100% on the first cycle using the OEM charger, then fast charging activates normally on subsequent sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy C5 Pro keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the C5 Pro stores the discharge profile of the old cell and applies it to the new one immediately after installation. When cell voltage drops to a point the old profile maps to near-empty, the OS cuts power even though charge remains. Run one full discharge — let it shut itself off — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my C5 Pro jumps around erratically after the replacement — it went from 60% to 34% in two minutes.
Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC calibration problem, not a defective cell. The IC's stored model no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve, so it misreads voltage dips under screen or modem load as large capacity drops. Do a complete uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100% with the phone idle. The IC re-anchors its reference points after that cycle and the readings stabilise.
My C5 Pro won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — it just shows a blank screen.
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V the BMS has entered a lockout state to prevent damage — it will not pass current to the phone until it receives a trickle charge above that threshold. Connect the phone to the original Samsung charger and leave it completely undisturbed for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power it on. The charge IC will deliver a low-current recovery charge to bring the cell above the BMS lockout floor, after which normal charging and startup resume.
