Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung SGH-Z300 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ST4309VE)
This is a 3.7V, 750mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original ST4309VE battery in Samsung's SGH-Z300 clamshell phone. It also fits the SGH-Z308, ZM60, and ZM-60 variants that share the same connector and BMS handshake. Dimensions are 66.21 × 42.34 × 6.97mm — confirm your original against those before ordering.
- SGH-Z300, Z308, ZM60 fitment: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, positive terminal orientation, and BMS communication protocol. The ST4309VE part number covers the entire group — no separate SKU exists for each variant.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on Z-series hardware. The BMS accepted charge handshake on the first connect, held the 4.2V charge ceiling cleanly, and triggered low-voltage cutoff at the expected threshold without false trips.
- First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before use. The SGH-Z300's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage counter to read inaccurately for weeks.
Why the SGH-Z300 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The SGH-Z300 uses a coulomb counter IC that builds its fuel gauge model from accumulated charge and discharge data on the installed cell. When you swap in a new cell, that learned curve no longer matches the new cell's actual capacity and impedance. The phone uses the old data until it completes at least one full discharge-charge cycle with the new cell. Until recalibration happens, the percentage display can read 40% and drop to zero without warning.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% battery remaining
This is a voltage cliff failure, not a capacity problem. The Z300's display and radio draw simultaneous current spikes — particularly during a call with the backlight active — that the cell cannot sustain if its internal impedance is high. Voltage drops below the modem's minimum operating threshold in milliseconds and the phone cuts off. If this happens on a new cell, run the full recalibration cycle first. If it persists after one full cycle, check that the terminal contacts are fully seated — a partial connection raises effective impedance and triggers the same collapse at around 3.5V.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone powered off at around 25% and now won't turn back on — is the new battery dead?
It isn't dead. What happened is a voltage cliff — the cell's voltage dropped below the modem's minimum threshold under load and the phone shut off hard. The BMS may now be in low-voltage lockout if the cell sat discharged for a while. Plug directly into a wall charger (not a PC USB port) and leave it for 20 minutes before attempting to power on — wall chargers supply enough seed current to bring a locked-out cell back above the 2.5V recovery threshold.
Fast charging isn't working after I put in the replacement — it just trickle charges now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet exchanged a full protocol handshake with the phone's charge IC. The charge IC defaults to trickle current when it can't confirm BMS state. Let the first charge complete fully at whatever rate the phone allows, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — on the second cycle the handshake completes and normal charge current resumes.
The battery percentage keeps jumping around erratically — it goes from 60% to 45% in a few seconds.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. The old calibration data doesn't match the new cell's impedance profile, so the counter corrects itself in visible jumps rather than smoothly. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that single cycle the coulomb counter rebuilds its model against the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises.
