Fits TCL 50 LE and T510SP models, replacing OEM part number TLP038GA.
Voltage 3.87V and capacity 3850mAh support full-day calling, messaging, and app use without midday drain.
Connector type is standard TCL contact pad orientation; seats flush against the phone's battery slot without modification.
We bench tested this cell on a 50 LE charge cycle — the fuel gauge IC accepted the new BMS handshake on insertion without error codes or charge termination faults.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TCL 50 LE / T510SP — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP038GA)

This is a 3850mAh Li-Polymer cell at 3.87V, replacing the TLP038GA battery in the TCL 50 LE and T510SP smartphones. It fits directly into either model and restores full power to calling, display, and data functions. Capacity figure is taken from the product specification — 14.9Wh nominal.

  • 50 LE and T510SP compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — a single TLP038GA cell services either unit without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a TCL 50 LE unit. The BMS accepted the new cell on first connection, initialised charge current correctly, and reported cell voltage accurately through the system UI.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the fuel gauge IC one complete reference cycle against the new cell's discharge curve before fast charge current is applied.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the old cell's stored discharge curve. When the phone reads 25%, the new cell may already be near its actual low-voltage floor. Under screen or modem load, voltage drops below the system cutoff before the percentage reaches zero. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge cycle writes a new reference curve to the coulomb counter. After that cycle, percentage figures align with actual cell state.

USB fast charge not triggering after battery replacement

On first connection after a cell swap, the charge IC may default to standard 5V/0.5A until it completes a handshake with the new BMS. Some TCL units require the phone to complete one boot cycle with the battery at above 10% before the fast charge protocol re-engages. If fast charge still does not trigger, clear the cached battery stats in recovery mode, then reconnect the original charger. The handshake completes once the BMS confirms cell impedance is within the expected window — typically after the first full charge cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TCL 50 LE shuts off at around 25% battery — is the replacement cell faulty?

The cell itself is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC in the phone was calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell — the percentage it displays no longer maps correctly to the new cell's actual voltage. Under modem or screen load, the new cell hits its low-voltage cutoff while the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown and then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and shutdowns at low percentage stop.

The battery percentage on my TCL 50 LE is jumping around erratically after fitting the new battery — what causes that?

Erratic percentage is the fuel gauge IC interpolating between two mismatched data sets — the stored curve from the old cell and the actual voltage readings from the new one. It has no accurate reference point yet, so estimates swing between readings. This is not a wiring or connector issue. Complete one full uninterrupted discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge and the IC writes a clean reference; percentage stabilises after that single cycle.

My TCL 50 LE won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few weeks — what happened?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V the BMS entered a lockout state to prevent damage from over-discharge. The phone will not respond to the power button because the BMS is blocking output until minimum cell voltage is restored. Connect the original TCL charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold, after which the phone boots normally.
