Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Realme C61 / C63 / C65s — 3.91V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLPA83)

This is a 3.91V, 4850mAh (18.96Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Realme C61, C63, C65s, and RMX3939. All four models share the BLPA83 cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake — one battery covers the full group. Install it when the original cell no longer holds voltage under screen or modem load.

  • C61 / C63 / C65s / RMX3939 platform fit: These four models run on the same battery bay geometry and use an identical 4-pin BMS connector. The fuel gauge IC on each board reads the same cell chemistry signature, so no firmware conflict occurs on swap.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and charge on the C61 board. The BMS accepted the charge handshake without intervention, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage floor — no thermal events recorded.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state — skipping this step is the main cause of erratic percentage readings after a swap.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Realme C61 after a cell swap

The C61's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old degraded cell. When the new cell voltage drops steeply under modem or display load — even at a reading of 25% — the board interprets it as a hard low-voltage event and cuts power. This is a coulomb counter mismatch, not a faulty battery. Running two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge rate forces the IC to relearn the new curve. After recalibration, shutdowns at partial charge stop.

USB fast charge not activating after replacement on the C63 or C65s

On the first cycle after installation, the charge IC may not complete the proprietary fast-charge handshake with the new BMS — this is normal behaviour with a fresh cell that has never communicated with the board before. The device defaults to standard 5V charging as a safety fallback. Charge fully once at standard rate, then reconnect the original fast charger. The handshake completes on the second cycle in most cases, and fast charging activates at that point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Realme C61 shuts off suddenly at around 25% — is the replacement battery defective?

This is a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The IC on the C61 board learned the discharge curve of the old degraded battery, so it misreads the new cell's voltage and cuts power early when load spikes from the modem or screen. Run two full discharge-charge cycles at standard (non-fast) charge rate. After the second cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates to the new cell and the early shutdowns stop.

The Realme C65s shows 100% immediately after I switched batteries and the percentage jumps around — what's happening?

The fuel gauge IC is reading a cell it has never profiled before, so it estimates state of charge from a stale internal map. Erratic or frozen percentage readings are the direct result. Do one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate without fast charging enabled. That single full cycle gives the IC enough data points to plot the new cell curve and the percentage stabilises.

Phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before installation — how do I recover it?

Extended storage below 2.5V per cell triggers BMS lockout — the protection circuit disconnects the cell to prevent damage. Plug in the charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes before attempting to power on; the charge IC delivers a low-current trickle that brings the cell voltage back above the BMS re-engagement threshold. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, the lockout has cleared. If the screen stays dark after 30 minutes on charge, check that the connector is fully seated on the board.
