Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ulefone Power — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (3026LN6050M44V)
This 3.85V, 6050mAh Li-Polymer cell is a direct replacement for the Ulefone Power smartphone. It fits the original battery bay and connects to the same charge IC and fuel gauge circuit. Capacity is 6050mAh (23.29Wh), matching the factory specification for this handset.
- Ulefone Power platform fit: The Power series runs a high-capacity 3.85V cell architecture to support its large display and always-on LTE modem. This cell matches that voltage rail and connector pinout — the BMS handshake completes on first boot without any manual override.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and load on the bench. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold, charge termination triggered cleanly at full capacity, and the protection circuit tripped correctly on a simulated over-current event.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Ulefone Power after a cell swap
The Ulefone Power's modem and display draw a combined spike load that can expose voltage sag in a new cell before the fuel gauge has mapped its actual discharge curve. When the reported state of charge sits around 20–30%, the cell voltage under that combined load can drop below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the displayed percentage suggests capacity remains. The phone interprets this as a fault and shuts down to protect the circuit. One full discharge-to-3.2V followed by a full charge cycle at standard rate usually eliminates this behaviour as the fuel gauge IC locks onto the real cell characteristics.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
After fitting a new cell, the charge IC on the Ulefone Power sometimes refuses to negotiate fast charge on the first connection — defaulting to standard 5V input instead. This happens because the charge controller reads the new cell's impedance as out of range during its initial safety check. Run the phone through one full standard-rate charge from below 10% to 100%, then reconnect the charger. Fast charge negotiation typically resumes once the controller has recorded a valid baseline charge cycle against the new cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Ulefone Power shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage reading drifts from the actual voltage under modem and screen load. When the combined draw pulls cell voltage below roughly 3.2V, the BMS cuts power even though the display shows capacity remaining. Run one full discharge from 100% to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — the coulomb counter resets to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my Ulefone Power jumps around erratically after the swap — sometimes gaining percent while idle.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a cell it has never measured before. The coulomb counter loses accuracy when a new cell with a different internal impedance profile replaces the old one — the IC's stored charge table no longer matches actual voltage readings. One complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate (not fast charge) gives the IC enough data to rebuild an accurate state-of-charge map. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.
My Ulefone Power gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is that normal?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat during the first few cycles. This is expected and reduces after two or three full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. Keep the phone out of a case for the first two charges to let heat dissipate freely. If the back feels hot to the point of discomfort rather than just warm, disconnect the charger and let the phone cool to room temperature before continuing.
