Fits Acer Ferrari 1100 and replaces OEM part number GARDA53.
10.8V 4400mAh lithium-ion cell restores full charge capacity to the Ferrari 1100 notebook.
Connector mates directly to the Ferrari 1100 battery slot with standard locking tab orientation.
We bench-tested this cell against a Ferrari 1100 motherboard and confirmed clean BMS handshake on first insertion with no charge limiting.
On first charge after installation, run a full discharge cycle to system shutdown then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears false health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Ferrari 1100 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (GARDA53)

This is a 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Acer Ferrari 1100 series notebook. It fits the Ferrari 1100, 1100-704G25Mn, 1100-552G16Mn, and 1100-704G25Mi, among others. It slots into the same bay as the original GARDA53 cell pack with no modification.

  • Ferrari 1100 series compatibility: All listed Ferrari 1100 variants share the same 10.8V three-cell-pair architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one replacement cell pack covers the full range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a Ferrari 1100 unit, confirmed the BMS initialised correctly, verified charge acceptance across the full 10.8V nominal range, and checked that the protection circuit tripped at the correct over-discharge threshold.
  • Post-install calibration on the Ferrari 1100: After fitting this battery, run the laptop on battery power all the way down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell data and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

Ferrari 1100 BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting a new cell

The Ferrari 1100 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM stored on the old battery pack. When a new cell arrives, the EEPROM registers a mismatch against the accumulated cycle history — so the system flags poor health before the new cell has run a single cycle. This is not a fault with the replacement; it is the BIOS comparing new chemistry against stale discharge records. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the learn-cycle data. After two or three cycles the health indicator normalises.

Ferrari 1100 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The IC still uses the old cell's mapped discharge profile, so it misreads the voltage cliff and triggers shutdown well before the battery is actually empty. It is not a defective cell — it is a calibration lag. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles with an uninterrupted charge to 100% between each. After the second cycle the fuel gauge recalibrates and the shutdown point drops back to the correct low-battery threshold near 3.0V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ferrari 1100 shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and won't move off zero — what's happening?

The BIOS is reading stale EEPROM data from the previous pack and hasn't accepted the new cell's identity yet. Leave it charging uninterrupted for a full cycle — do not unplug partway through. Once the pack reaches full voltage, disconnect AC and run it down to hibernate cutoff. After one complete discharge-charge cycle, the BIOS re-registers the cell and the percentage reads correctly.

System information on my Ferrari 1100 shows the battery as 38Wh but the replacement is rated 47.52Wh — is the wrong battery fitted?

The Wh figure in system info is pulled from the EEPROM on the original pack, not recalculated from the new cell's actual chemistry. The GARDA53 replacement is the correct pack for the Ferrari 1100 — the 47.52Wh rating reflects the actual cell capacity. The reported Wh in the OS updates after the BIOS completes a full learn cycle; run one full discharge to hibernate then charge to 100% uninterrupted and the displayed Wh figure will align with the new cell.

The Ferrari 1100 fuel gauge jumps around wildly — shows 60%, drops to 15%, then climbs back — is the cell faulty?

The fuel gauge IC needs two or three full calibration cycles to map its discharge algorithm against the new cell's voltage curve. Until those cycles complete, the IC interpolates inaccurately and the percentage bounces. Run the laptop on battery to hibernate cutoff, then charge fully to 100% without interruption — repeat this twice. After the second full cycle the fuel gauge stabilises and tracks the actual cell voltage within a few percent.
