Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Vivobook B3404CV / Chromebook CM34 — 11.61V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0B200-04010000)
This 11.61V, 5400mAh (62.69Wh) Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Asus Vivobook B3404CV, CM3401FFA, and Chromebook CM34 Flip series. It matches OEM part numbers 0B200-04010000, 0B200-04310000, and C31N2205. The connector, BMS handshake, and physical dimensions are matched to these models exactly.
- B3404CV and CM34 series fitment: These models share the same 11.61V three-cell Li-Polymer architecture, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell covers the full range. Swapping to a mismatched voltage rail will trigger an immediate BIOS rejection and the laptop will refuse to charge.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge-discharge cycle on the B3404CV platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, charge current stepped down correctly at 80% and 95% thresholds, and the cell held steady voltage through a sustained CPU and display load test.
- Post-install calibration on Asus BIOS: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff — do not force-shutdown — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the false "poor health" warning that appears after every cell swap on these Vivobook and Chromebook CM34 platforms.
Why the B3404CV reports poor battery health immediately after a cell swap
The Asus BIOS stores learned capacity and cycle count data from the previous cell in its EEPROM. When a new cell is installed, that stored data no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the BIOS flags the battery as degraded. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a calibration mismatch. Running the learn cycle (full discharge to hibernate, then uninterrupted charge to 100%) overwrites the stale EEPROM data. After one or two full cycles, the health indicator returns to normal.
Laptop shuts off at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge after replacement
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet mapped the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. Under full CPU and display load, the cell voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts, and the system hits its low-voltage cutoff while the display still shows charge remaining. The fix is calibration — discharge fully to hibernate without interruption, then charge to 100% in one session. After two or three complete cycles, the gauge IC locks onto the correct curve and the early shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
Asus Battery Health app shows 0% design capacity on the new cell — is the battery faulty?
It is not a fault with the cell. The Asus Battery Health Charging tool and BIOS read capacity data from EEPROM, which still holds figures from the old battery after a swap. Run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff — do not interrupt it — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That resets the learn cycle and the reported design capacity corrects itself within one or two full cycles.
Windows is showing a wildly wrong Wh rating in Device Manager after I installed the replacement — it says 38Wh but the cell is 62.69Wh. Why?
The Wh figure in Device Manager is read from the cell's EEPROM, not measured directly. The old cell's rated value is still cached in the system firmware immediately after swap. After completing a full calibration cycle — full discharge to hibernate, then a complete uninterrupted charge to 100% — the fuel gauge IC re-reads the actual cell data and the Wh figure updates to reflect the correct 62.69Wh capacity.
The B3404CV charges to 80% then stops — it never reaches 100% with the new battery installed.
This is almost always the Asus Battery Health Charging feature, not a cell fault. It is a BIOS-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% to reduce cell stress during daily desk use. Open the MyASUS app or Asus Battery Health Charging utility, switch the mode from "Balanced" to "Full Capacity," then reconnect the charger. The cell will charge to 100%.
