Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus RC71L-NH001W Series — 15.48V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C41N2208)
This is a 15.48V 5150mAh (79.72Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Asus RC71L-NH001W, RC71L-NH002W, RC71L-NH019W, RC71L-NR2301L, and related models. It replaces OEM part C41N2208 directly. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or fails to register in Windows or the BIOS.
- RC71L series compatibility: These RC71L variants share the same 15.48V four-cell Li-Polymer architecture, the same connector pinout, and the same BMS communication protocol — so one SKU covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge, partial discharge, and full discharge on the RC71L platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge current stepped down at 80% and 95% as expected, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at low-voltage cutoff.
- First-cycle calibration on RC71L: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates at cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health or capacity warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the C41N2208
The RC71L stores cycle count, wear level, and rated capacity in EEPROM on the battery's embedded controller. When a new cell is installed, that EEPROM data doesn't match the BIOS's last recorded values, so the system flags the battery as degraded before a single charge completes. This is a data mismatch — not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the BIOS will rewrite its battery health baseline against the new cell's actual readings.
RC71L shutting down between 20–30% charge shown on screen
The Windows fuel gauge IC calibrates against the old cell's discharge curve, not the new one. Under combined CPU and display load, the new cell's actual voltage drops faster than the gauge predicts — the system hits the low-voltage protection threshold while the percentage readout still shows 20–25%. The fix is two to three full discharge-and-recharge cycles so the fuel gauge IC can map the real discharge curve of the replacement cell. After calibration, the gauge should track closely and the laptop should not cut out above 5% remaining.

Frequently Asked Questions
Windows shows the new battery as "Unknown" or 0% right after I installed it — is the cell dead?
No. The fuel gauge IC on the RC71L reads EEPROM data written to the original cell and has nothing to reference on a fresh replacement. Windows reports "Unknown" or 0% until the IC runs at least one full discharge cycle against the new cell. Charge to 100% uninterrupted, then discharge fully until hibernate, and the OS will register the battery correctly on the next boot.
My RC71L shows 79Wh in the BIOS but the system info screen in Windows reports a different Wh figure — which one is correct?
The BIOS reads the rated Wh value stored in the battery's EEPROM, which reflects the cell's nominal chemistry rating — 79.72Wh in this case. Windows calculates Wh dynamically from measured voltage and current during discharge, so the figure shifts as the fuel gauge IC calibrates. After two to three full cycles the Windows reading will settle and align closely with the 79.72Wh rated value.
Charge stopped at 80% and won't go higher — did I get a faulty battery?
This is almost always a BIOS-level charge limit, not a cell fault. Asus laptops include a Battery Health Charging setting in MyASUS or the BIOS that caps charge at 80% to reduce cell stress during long plugged-in sessions. Open MyASUS, go to Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode from Balanced or Maximum Lifespan to Full Capacity. Charge should then proceed to 100%.
