Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus ROG Strix G17 G712LW-EV251T — 15.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (0B200-02940000)
This is a 15.4V, 4300mAh (66.22Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Asus ROG Strix G17 G712LW-EV251T gaming laptop and compatible ROG Strix G models. It replaces OEM part numbers including 0B200-02940000, C41N1731-2, and C41POJ5. Dimensions are 186.60 × 115.00 × 10.00mm — verify your existing cell before ordering.
- ROG Strix G17 and G531/G731 platform fit: These models share the same 15.4V four-cell architecture, matching connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — which is why one cell covers the full range from G531GW through G712LW variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a G712 chassis. The BMS authenticated without error codes, charge acceptance was confirmed across all four cells, and voltage held steady under combined CPU and display load.
- Post-install calibration on ROG Strix: After fitting, discharge the laptop to automatic hibernate, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on ROG Strix hardware.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The ROG Strix BIOS reads EEPROM data stored on the old cell and flags a health warning the moment a new cell without that history is detected. This is not a fault with the replacement — it is the firmware comparing an empty EEPROM against its stored baseline. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge resets the learn cycle. After two to three full cycles, the BIOS health indicator should update to reflect the actual cell condition.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the ROG Strix G17
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The OS reads 25% remaining, but the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the BMS cutoff threshold under the combined load of the G17's CPU and display. The cell itself is not defective — the gauge just needs recalibration. Run three full discharge-to-hibernate and full charge cycles without interruption; after the third cycle, the OS fuel gauge re-anchors to the new cell's actual voltage floor, typically around 14.0V at low state of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ROG Strix G17 shows the replacement battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and never moves — what's happening?
The BIOS is reading the new cell's blank EEPROM and flagging it as an unknown or uncalibrated source, so the fuel gauge locks at 0% until a learn cycle completes. Disconnect the charger, let the laptop discharge fully to hibernate, then reconnect and charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. After one full cycle the percentage readout should begin tracking normally.
Windows is showing this battery as 66Wh but MyASUS or HWiNFO reports a different Wh figure — which is correct?
The discrepancy comes from the EEPROM on the new cell reporting its rated chemistry value while the OS fuel gauge IC calculates Wh dynamically from measured current draw and voltage. Neither reading is wrong — they are pulling from different data sources. The product data capacity of 66.22Wh is the rated figure. After two to three calibration cycles the OS-calculated figure will converge closer to the rated value.
The new battery won't charge past 80% on the ROG Strix — is the cell faulty?
Almost certainly not. Asus ROG Strix laptops ship with a BIOS-level charge limit called "Battery Health Charging" set to 80% by default. Open MyASUS, navigate to Customization, select Battery Health Charging, and switch the mode to Full Capacity. The cell will then charge to 100% — this is a firmware setting, not a fault with the replacement cell.
