Fits Dell Latitude 13 7330 and Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme; replaces OEM part 01VX5, 293F1, 404T8.
This 11.25V, 3450mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 38.81Wh for full workday unplugged operation on business notebooks.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; verify orientation before pushing home firmly.
We tested the BMS on insertion with the BIOS power management active; cell registered immediately without firmware errors.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dell Latitude 13 7330 / 7330 Rugged Extreme — 11.25V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (01VX5)

This 11.25V, 3450mAh (38.81Wh) lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Dell Latitude 13 7330 and Latitude 7330 Rugged Extreme. It matches OEM part numbers 01VX5, 293F1, and 404T8. Slot it in and the laptop powers on — no driver installs, no BIOS flags during boot.

  • Latitude 7330 and 7330 Rugged Extreme fit: Both variants share the same 11.25V three-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The Rugged Extreme adds a hardened chassis but does not change the battery bay or management circuit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, discharge, and a full BIOS battery learn cycle on a Latitude 7330 unit. The BMS reported capacity correctly, the fuel gauge IC synced within two cycles, and no spurious health warnings appeared in Dell's battery diagnostics.
  • Post-install calibration on the 7330: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The Latitude 7330 BIOS reads health data stored in the outgoing cell's EEPROM and flags a mismatch when a new cell arrives with fresh EEPROM values. This is not a fault with the replacement — it is the firmware comparing old cycle-count data it no longer has. Run the battery learn cycle: discharge fully to hibernate, then charge to 100% without interruption. After one complete cycle the BIOS recalibrates and the warning clears.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. Under full CPU and display load, voltage drops faster than the old curve predicts, and the BMS triggers a protective shutdown before the gauge reaches zero. The fix is two or three full discharge-to-hibernate and recharge cycles — each one teaches the fuel gauge IC where the real voltage cliff sits. After calibration, shutdown should occur below 5% indicated charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dell BIOS shows "unknown battery" or 0% right after I swapped the cell — is something wrong with the replacement?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The BIOS lost the EEPROM data stored in the old battery and cannot yet read the new one's identity record. Discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single learn cycle writes fresh EEPROM data into the BIOS and clears the unknown-battery flag.

My Latitude 7330 shuts off at around 25% charge even though the new battery just arrived — what's causing this?

The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve mapped to the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits a voltage cliff under CPU and screen load, the BMS triggers a shutdown before the indicator reaches zero. Run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted recharge cycles. Each cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's actual curve, and shutdowns will move to below 5% indicated.

System info shows the wrong Wh rating — it says something different from the 38.81Wh on the listing. Is the battery mislabelled?

The Wh figure shown in Windows or Dell's diagnostics is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, and new replacement cells can carry a rated chemistry value that differs slightly from the measured capacity at that specific cell grade. The physical capacity is 38.81Wh as tested. After one full battery learn cycle the reported figure will update to reflect the actual measured capacity the BIOS has logged.
