Fits Dell Latitude 9330 and 2-in-1 models; replaces OEM part 05Y3T9.
11.55V and 4100mAh capacity matches the original pack exactly.
Connector seats flush into the bottom bay with keyed alignment tab.
We ran full charge cycles on a 9330 ultrabook; BMS engaged normally without voltage regulation faults.
After installation, discharge fully to sleep mode then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears false health warnings that appear after cell swaps.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Dell Latitude 9330 Series — 11.55V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (05Y3T9)

This 11.55V, 4100mAh (47.36Wh) Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Dell Latitude 9330, 9330 2-in-1, 9330 4JG2Y, and 9330 6W5R4. It matches the OEM connector, cell chemistry, and BMS communication protocol the Latitude 9330 platform requires. Fits the slim 267.50 x 98.10 x 4.80mm bay without modification.

  • Latitude 9330 platform fit: All 9330 variants share the same voltage rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake logic. The 05Y3T9 part number covers the full range — standard clamshell and 2-in-1 convertible — because Dell used one battery architecture across the lineup.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge, full discharge, and charge cycles on a Latitude 9330 unit. The BMS negotiated correctly with the EC firmware, accepted the full charge curve to 11.55V, and reported cell data back to the OS without error flags.
  • Post-install calibration on the Latitude 9330: After fitting this battery, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor after replacement on the Latitude 9330

The Latitude 9330 BIOS reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against wear metrics accumulated over its service life. When a new cell is installed, the EC firmware still holds the previous cycle count and charge history until a learn cycle forces it to re-baseline. This is not a fault with the replacement cell — it is a mismatch between stored EEPROM data and the actual new chemistry. Run a full discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%; after one or two cycles the BIOS health indicator will update correctly.

Latitude 9330 shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated its discharge curve against the new cell. Under combined CPU and display load, the actual cell voltage drops faster than the uncalibrated gauge predicts, so the laptop hits the low-voltage protection threshold while the OS still shows significant charge remaining. The fix is calibration, not a hardware fault. Discharge the laptop fully to hibernate-cutoff once — do not interrupt it — then charge to 100% without removing power; after two full cycles the fuel gauge IC locks onto the correct discharge profile and the premature shutdown stops.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Dell Latitude 9330 BIOS is showing the new battery as "Unknown" or 0% — what's happening?

The EC firmware is still reading EEPROM data written by the old cell, so it has no valid baseline for the new one yet. This is not a fault with the replacement. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this triggers the BIOS battery learn cycle and forces the EC to write fresh health data from the new cell. After that cycle, the BIOS health report will reflect the actual cell state.

The Latitude 9330 shows the wrong Wh rating in Dell Power Manager after I swapped the battery — is the cell faulty?

No. The Wh figure Dell Power Manager displays is pulled from the EEPROM on the cell, which stores the rated capacity at manufacture. The replacement cell's EEPROM reflects its rated chemistry spec, which may differ slightly from what the original cell reported after years of wear adjustments. The actual deliverable energy is 47.36Wh as rated. If the discrepancy concerns you, check the figure again after two full calibration cycles — the fuel gauge IC will have reconciled its reading against real charge data by then.

My Latitude 9330 charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — is the new battery defective?

Almost certainly not. Dell's BIOS includes a firmware-controlled charge limit that caps charging at 80% when the "Primary Battery Charge Configuration" is set to anything other than "Adaptive" or "Standard" in Dell Power Manager or BIOS Setup. Open Dell Power Manager, go to Battery, and check the charge mode setting. Switch it to "Standard" or "Adaptive" and the charge ceiling will lift to 100%.
