Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fujitsu LifeBook Q2010 / FMV-Q8230 — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (FPCBP149AP)
This is a 10.8V, 4400mAh (47.52Wh) Li-ion battery for the Fujitsu LifeBook Q2010, FMV-Q8230, FMV-Q8220, and FMV-BIBLO LOOX Q70TN. It replaces OEM part numbers FPCBP149AP, FPCBP147, FPCBP149, FMVNBP153, FPCBP147AP, FMVNBP151, S26391-F340-L250, and S26391-F340-L200. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge or the system refuses to run off battery power at all.
- Q-series platform fit: The FMV-Q8230, Q8220, and LifeBook Q2010 share the same 10.8V three-cell rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers all of them. Swapping between these models does not require any firmware change or connector adapter.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on Q-series hardware. The BMS accepted the charge handshake on first contact, balanced across all three cells without thermal event, and reported state-of-charge correctly to the OS by the second full cycle.
- Post-install recalibration on the Q2010: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff on a normal workload — do not force-shutdown — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle. Skipping it leaves a false "poor health" warning in the system tray that does not reflect actual cell condition.
Why the FMV-Q8230 BIOS flags a new battery as poor health on first boot
The Q8230 BIOS reads EEPROM data written by the original factory cell to establish its health baseline. A new cell arrives with different EEPROM values — the BIOS compares them against the old record and flags the mismatch as degraded health. This is a data comparison error, not a fault with the replacement cell. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by a complete uninterrupted charge cycle overwrites the stored baseline and clears the warning.
LifeBook Q2010 shutting down at 20–30% battery shown
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The OS reads a percentage based on the old cell's curve, so 20% displayed may already be below the voltage the cell can sustain under combined CPU and display load. The cell hits its low-voltage cutoff before the OS reaches its shutdown threshold, causing an abrupt power-off. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate and full-recharge cycles — after the second cycle the fuel gauge recalibrates and the shutdowns stop. Target a resting voltage of 10.8V at full charge to confirm the cell is performing correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Fujitsu BatteryAid utility still shows 0% capacity after I installed the new FPCBP149AP cell — what's wrong?
The BatteryAid utility pulls capacity data from the EEPROM on the cell, and a fresh replacement cell has not yet synced its baseline to the Q-series BIOS. The utility shows 0% or "unknown" until the learn cycle completes. Run the laptop fully down to hibernate cutoff on a real workload, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle, BatteryAid reads the cell correctly.
My LifeBook Q2010 fuel gauge reads 60% but the laptop dies the moment I open a PDF or the screen brightness goes up — is the battery faulty?
The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve, so the percentage shown is wrong. Under combined CPU and display load, the actual cell voltage drops past cutoff while the gauge still reads mid-range. This is a calibration gap, not a bad cell. Complete two full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted full-recharge cycles — the gauge recalibrates to the new cell's curve and the unexpected shutdowns stop.
The FMV-Q8230 stops charging at 80% and never goes higher — is this a fault with the replacement cell?
No — the Q8230 BIOS includes a charge-limit feature that caps charging at 80% when eco-charge mode is active. This is a firmware setting, not a battery fault. Open the Fujitsu Battery Utility or BIOS power settings, find the charge threshold or eco-charge option, and set the upper limit to 100%.
