Fits Getac M230, S400, V100, V200 notebooks; replaces OEM battery CS-SP500HB.
10.8V, 6600mAh (71.28Wh) lithium-ion delivers full system power on field workstations in remote environments.
Connector slides straight into the M230 battery bay; locking tab secures flush against the chassis frame.
We bench-tested this cell against the M230's fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted charge handshake and held voltage under sustained CPU and display load.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings that appear after every cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Getac M230 / S400 / V100 / V200 Series — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 10.8V, 6600mAh (71.28Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Getac M230, S400, V100, and V200 rugged notebook series. It replaces the original pack when the cell degrades and can no longer sustain field workloads. Fit the same connector and voltage rail as the factory pack.

  • M230, S400, V100, V200 platform fit: These Getac rugged notebooks share a common 10.8V battery bus and connector format across the series. The BMS handshake protocol is consistent across the platform, so one pack covers all listed models without hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Getac-compatible test rig. The BMS communicated correctly with the host system, reported state-of-charge accurately, and did not trigger overcurrent or thermal cutoff under sustained CPU and display load.
  • Post-install calibration on Getac rugged notebooks: After fitting a new cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff under normal workload, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell data and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after fitting a new cell

Getac's BIOS reads health data from the battery's EEPROM — not the live cell chemistry. When a new cell goes in, the EEPROM data does not match the old pack's stored history, so the BIOS flags poor health or unknown status. This is a firmware-side artefact, not a fault with the replacement cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After one or two complete learn cycles, the BIOS recalibrates and the health warning clears.

Laptop shutting down abruptly while the gauge still shows 20–30% remaining

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under combined CPU and display load — a voltage cliff that the fuel gauge IC did not predict correctly. The gauge was calibrated against the old cell's discharge curve, so it reads high until the cell can no longer hold voltage above the BMS cutoff threshold. It is not a faulty replacement pack. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by full charges; the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's curve and the reported percentage aligns with actual remaining capacity.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Getac M230 BIOS is showing the wrong Wh rating after I fitted the new battery — it says something different from the 71.28Wh on the pack label. Is the battery wrong?

The Wh figure the BIOS displays is read from the old EEPROM record stored during previous charge cycles, not directly from the new cell's chemistry. The replacement cell is rated at 71.28Wh and that is accurate. After one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle and a complete charge to 100%, the BIOS updates its stored data and the displayed Wh figure corrects itself.

The fuel gauge on my Getac S400 is jumping around — showing 80%, then 60%, then back up — for the first few charges after installing this battery. What's causing that?

The fuel gauge IC calibrates against discharge curve data it has built up over previous cycles. With a new cell installed, that historical data does not match the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity curve, so the percentage reading is unstable for the first few cycles. This is normal and expected behaviour. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles with uninterrupted charges to 100% after each, and the gauge IC will lock onto the new cell's curve and stabilise.

My Getac V100 stops charging at around 80% and never goes higher — the charger light stays on but the percentage won't move. Is this a fault?

Some Getac BIOS versions ship with a charge limit active — typically capped at 80% — intended to reduce cell stress during prolonged AC use. This is a firmware setting, not a fault with the battery. Enter the Getac BIOS utility, navigate to the battery or power management section, and disable the charge threshold or set the upper limit to 100%.
