Fits HP Presario B2000 notebook; replaces OEM part number LB52113B.
11.1V and 4400mAh capacity restores full charge cycles on this ultraportable.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab engagement.
We bench-tested this cell against the original B2000 pack; BMS accepted charge without fault codes and held voltage under sustained CPU load.
After installation, discharge fully to hibernation then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HP Presario B2000 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LB52113B)

This is an 11.1V, 4400mAh (48.84Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the HP Presario B2000 notebook laptop. It slots into the original battery bay and connects via the factory multi-pin connector. Capacity matches the stock cell — no modification needed.

  • Presario B2000 fit: The B2000 series uses an 11.1V three-cell configuration across its battery bay. This cell matches that voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — the laptop's firmware recognises it as a valid power source without prompting a hardware mismatch alert.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles on the B2000 platform. The BMS communicated charge state correctly, balancing terminated at full capacity, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at low-voltage threshold without requiring a manual reset.
  • First-cycle calibration on the B2000: After installing this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The B2000's BIOS uses this cycle to re-learn the battery's actual capacity range — skipping it leaves the fuel gauge reading inaccurately for days.

BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after swap

The B2000's BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers written by the original cell over its lifetime. A new cell arrives with fresh EEPROM values that don't match the degraded profile the BIOS was tracking. This triggers a false "poor health" or "replace battery" warning even though the new cell is fully functional. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate then a full uninterrupted charge — this rewrites the learn-cycle data and the warning clears.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC hasn't calibrated against the new cell's actual voltage curve. The gauge maps percentage to voltage using data from the old, degraded cell — so it misreads 3.4V per cell as "30% remaining" when the new cell is actually near depletion under load. Under full CPU and display draw, voltage drops sharply at that point and the laptop cuts power before the OS can hibernate. Two full discharge-and-charge cycles recalibrate the IC — the cutoff point should shift below 10% after that.

Frequently Asked Questions

Windows shows the battery as "unknown" or 0% right after I installed it — is the cell dead?

No — the fuel gauge IC on the B2000 is reading EEPROM data left over from the old cell, which doesn't match the new cell's chemistry profile. The OS interprets the mismatch as an unreadable or empty battery. Run the laptop down to hibernate-cutoff on battery alone, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one full cycle the IC recalibrates and the percentage reads correctly.

The Wh rating shown in HP Support Assistant doesn't match what's on the battery label — which one is right?

The figure in HP Support Assistant pulls from the EEPROM on the cell, which stores the rated Wh value written at manufacture. The label reflects actual measured capacity from our testing — 48.84Wh. Small differences between EEPROM-reported and label values are normal across Li-ion cells of the same nominal spec. The functional capacity is what matters; verify by running a full discharge cycle and confirming the laptop reaches hibernate before the OS shuts it down.

Charging stopped at 80% and won't go higher — did I get a faulty battery?

This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge threshold, not a fault with the cell. HP's battery management firmware on some B2000 builds ships with an 80% charge limit enabled to reduce long-term wear. Go to HP Battery Manager or the BIOS power settings, find the charge limit or "battery health manager" option, and set it to "full charge." The cell will then charge to 100% on the next cycle.
