Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 — 11.52V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L20C3PC2)
This is an 11.52V, 3750mAh (43.2Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 series. It fits the 82K201EVMX and over 120 other 15ACH6 variants sharing the same battery bay and connector. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the laptop refuses to run unplugged.
- 15ACH6 series fit: All listed 15ACH6 models run the same 11.52V three-cell architecture with an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol. Part numbers L20C3PC2, L20D3PC2, L20L3PC2, L20M3PC2, SSB10X55571, and SSB11B96720 are all cross-compatible within this chassis.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on an IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 unit. The BMS communicated correctly with the EC, charge accepted at the expected rate, and no fault codes triggered during either cycle.
- BIOS learn cycle after swap: After installing this cell, run a full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that typically appears after any cell replacement on this platform.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% remaining after battery swap
The 15ACH6 draws hard on the battery when the Ryzen CPU and display both run at full load. If the new cell hasn't been calibrated, the fuel gauge IC maps voltage curves from the old cell's EEPROM data. The EC reads a false state-of-charge, triggers a low-voltage cutoff while the gauge still shows charge remaining, and the laptop shuts down without warning. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a full uninterrupted charge to force the fuel gauge IC to re-baseline against the new cell's actual voltage curve.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor immediately after replacement
This happens because the embedded controller reads health data stored in the old cell's EEPROM and compares it against the new cell's reported capacity — the mismatch flags a degraded-battery warning before a single charge cycle completes. It is not a fault with the replacement cell. Navigate to Lenovo Vantage or the BIOS battery settings and initiate a battery gauge reset or learn cycle. After one full discharge-to-cutoff and recharge, the health indicator should return to normal.

Frequently Asked Questions
My IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 shows the new battery as 0% and won't start charging — what's wrong?
The EC sometimes loses communication with a freshly installed cell if the connector was seated while the laptop had residual charge on the board. Hold the power button for 15 seconds with the battery connected and the charger unplugged to fully drain the board capacitors, then reconnect the charger. This forces the EC to re-detect the battery and begin the charge handshake. If the gauge still reads 0% after one hour on charge, reseat the battery connector and repeat.
The fuel gauge on my IdeaPad Gaming 3 jumps around — showing 60%, then suddenly 35% a few minutes later. Is the replacement cell faulty?
The fuel gauge IC on the 15ACH6 uses learned discharge curve data from the previous cell to estimate charge. After a cell swap, that learned data no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage profile, so the gauge reads erratically. Run two complete discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100% each time. After the second calibration cycle the gauge IC re-maps the curve against the new cell and readings stabilise.
Why does the Lenovo Vantage app show the wrong Wh rating — 45Wh or higher — when this battery is rated 43.2Wh?
Vantage reads the rated design capacity stored in the cell's EEPROM, which manufacturers sometimes encode as the nominal upper-bound figure rather than the actual tested capacity. The 43.2Wh figure in the product data reflects the real usable energy at 11.52V and 3750mAh. The discrepancy is a reporting difference between EEPROM-stored design data and measured chemistry output — it does not affect how the battery charges or discharges. Confirm the actual voltage and capacity with a hardware tool like HWiNFO64 under the battery sensor readout.
