Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo ThinkBook 16p G3 ARH — 15.36V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (5B11C04256)
This is a 15.36V, 4550mAh (69.89Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Lenovo ThinkBook 16p G3 ARH 21EK000CRU and compatible ThinkBook and Legion Slim 7 models. It replaces OEM part numbers 5B11C04256, L20L4PD3, L20M4PD3, and related variants. The cell fits the five-wire connector and BMS handshake used across the G2 ACH and G3 ARH chassis.
- ThinkBook G2/G3 and Legion Slim 7 platform fit: These models share the same 15.36V four-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One cell covers the entire platform without any hardware modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on a ThinkBook 16p G3 chassis. The BMS handshook within two minutes, BIOS recognised the cell as present, and charge current stepped correctly from bulk to taper phase without triggering a fault code.
- BIOS learn cycle after swap: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell replacement on these ThinkBook models.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor after replacement
The ThinkBook BIOS reads health state from EEPROM data embedded in the battery's BMS chip. A new cell carries factory EEPROM values that do not match the charge history the BIOS expects from the original unit. This triggers a "poor health" or "replace battery" flag even though the cell is new. Run the full discharge-to-hibernate, then charge-to-100% cycle once. After that cycle completes, the BIOS recalculates health against actual measured capacity and the warning clears.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge
This happens because the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated its discharge curve against the new cell's chemistry. The IC maps voltage to percentage using data from the old cell, so it misreads the voltage cliff on the new one. Under full CPU plus display load, the cell voltage drops sharply below 14.0V before the gauge registers zero, and the BIOS triggers an emergency shutdown. Run two full discharge-to-charge cycles and the fuel gauge IC recalibrates — the premature shutdown stops once it correctly tracks the new cell's voltage curve.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ThinkBook 16p shows the new battery as "0% available (plugged in, not charging)" right after I installed it — what's happening?
The BMS on these ThinkBook cells needs to complete a handshake before the charge controller opens the charge path. Power off completely, remove the AC adapter for 30 seconds, reconnect AC, then power on — this forces a fresh BMS negotiation. If the cell still shows 0%, the BIOS charge controller is holding a fault state from the previous battery; go to Vantage app → Power → Battery and toggle Conservation Mode off, then back on to reset it. Charge should begin within 60 seconds of that toggle.
The Lenovo Vantage app is reporting this replacement battery as 61Wh — the product says 69.89Wh. Is the cell wrong?
The Wh figure displayed in Vantage pulls from the EEPROM "design capacity" field written at the factory, which sometimes reflects a conservative rated value rather than the actual measured cell capacity. The physical chemistry and voltage are correct — 15.36V, four-cell Li-Polymer. After one full discharge-to-hibernate and a full recharge, Vantage recalculates from live coulomb-counting data and the reported figure typically moves closer to the actual 69.89Wh.
After fitting the replacement, my ThinkBook 16p won't charge past 80% — is the battery defective?
This is a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Lenovo's firmware includes a Conservation Mode that caps charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress — it is sometimes active by default after a battery swap. Open the Vantage app, navigate to Power → Battery Charge Threshold, and confirm Conservation Mode is off. Once disabled, the charge limit lifts and the cell will accept charge to 100%.
