Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo IdeaPad S340-13IML — 11.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (SB10W67222)
This 11.1V, 3650mAh (40.52Wh) lithium-polymer cell replaces the original battery in the Lenovo IdeaPad S340-13IML ultrabook. It fits the S340-13IML variants including 81UM001GTA, 81UM000PJP, and the broader IdeaPad S340-13 series. Cross-reference OEM part numbers SB10W67222, 5B10U95572, or L18C3PF8 before ordering to confirm fitment.
- S340-13 series fitment: These slim 13-inch variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — the same physical cell and firmware handshake covers all S340-13IML configurations listed above.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S340-13IML platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the BIOS, charge current stepped down properly at the 80% and 95% thresholds, and no fault codes were logged during the full cycle.
- Post-install calibration on the S340-13IML: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears in Lenovo Vantage after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after replacement
The S340-13IML BIOS reads health data from the battery's EEPROM on first boot. The old cell wrote its degraded cycle count and capacity history into that data — the BIOS carries that reading across until a learn cycle is completed. This is not a fault with the new cell. Run one full discharge to the point where the laptop hibernates, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the BIOS recalculates health against the new cell's actual capacity and the warning clears.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on the fuel gauge
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's voltage curve. The IC is still using discharge models built from the old, degraded cell — it misreads the voltage cliff and triggers shutdown early. The fix is two to three complete discharge-and-charge cycles without interruption. After calibration cycles are complete, the gauge tracks accurately and the early shutdown stops. If it persists past three cycles, check that the BIOS battery charge limit in Lenovo Vantage is not set below 100%.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Lenovo Vantage app still shows the battery health as "Poor" after I installed the new cell — is something wrong with it?
Nothing is wrong with the new cell. The S340-13IML BIOS pulls health data from the battery's EEPROM, which still holds the degraded cycle history written by the old cell. Run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That learn cycle overwrites the stale EEPROM data and Lenovo Vantage updates the health status correctly.
My system info shows the battery as 36Wh but the replacement is rated 40.52Wh — why is there a discrepancy?
The Wh figure shown in Windows or the BIOS is read from the EEPROM on the cell itself, not calculated live from the new chemistry. Until the BIOS completes a full battery learn cycle, it reports the rated Wh value stored by the previous cell. Run one complete discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the system will re-read and display the correct 40.52Wh rating.
The fuel gauge jumps around wildly for the first few charges — it reads 60%, then drops to 40% a few minutes later without much load. Is the new battery defective?
It is not defective. The fuel gauge IC on the S340-13IML needs two to three full discharge and charge cycles to map its algorithm to the new cell's voltage curve. Until those cycles are complete, the gauge interpolates against the old cell's data and the readings are erratic. Run three uninterrupted full cycles — discharge to hibernate, charge to 100% — and the gauge stabilises. After cycle three, check the reading at 3.6V per cell as a reference point for accuracy.
