Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo ThinkPad E570 — 15.28V Li-ion Replacement Battery (01AV414)
This is a 15.28V, 2050mAh (31.32Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Lenovo ThinkPad E570 series notebook. It covers a wide range of E570 variants including the 20H5A01PCD, 20H5A005CD, and 20H5005PCD build codes. OEM part numbers 01AV414 through 01AV418 and SB10K97571 through SB10K97575 are all covered by this cell.
- ThinkPad E570 variant compatibility: All listed E570 variants share the same 15.28V four-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Lenovo used multiple OEM part numbers across regional SKUs — the underlying cell spec is identical across all of them.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery on an E570 mainboard and confirmed the BMS handshakes correctly with the EC firmware. The charge controller accepted the cell without flags, and the BIOS battery status page reported expected voltage and Wh values after two full cycles.
- BIOS learn cycle after installation: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on the battery status page after any cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The ThinkPad EC reads health data from EEPROM registers stored on the battery's BMS board — not from the cell itself. When a new cell is installed, those registers may not match what the EC expects for a fresh battery, triggering a "poor health" or "replace battery" flag straight away. This is not a fault with the new cell. Running the BIOS battery learn cycle rewrites the baseline and clears the flag. On the E570, access this via Lenovo Vantage under Power — Battery Gauge Reset.
Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge showing on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The gauge reports 25% remaining while the cell voltage has already dropped below the EC's cutoff threshold under full CPU and display load. The old calibration data from the previous cell is still in memory and no longer applies. Fix this by completing two full uninterrupted charge and discharge cycles — the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises above 3.0V per cell.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ThinkPad E570 shows the new battery as "0%" or "unknown" and won't charge — what's happening?
The EC is reading stale EEPROM data from the old battery's final state and cannot reconcile it with the new cell. Shut the laptop down completely, remove the battery for 30 seconds, reinstall it, and boot into BIOS to confirm the battery is detected before loading Windows. If the OS still shows 0%, run the Battery Gauge Reset function in Lenovo Vantage — this forces the EC to re-read the new cell's BMS registers from scratch.
The battery Wh rating shown in Device Manager is wrong — it shows a different number than what's on the label. Is the cell faulty?
The Wh figure in Device Manager is pulled from the battery's EEPROM, which stores the rated design capacity written at manufacture. The physical cell chemistry and the EEPROM value can differ slightly across OEM part number variants — this is expected across the 01AV414–01AV418 range. The discrepancy does not affect charging or discharge behaviour. Confirm actual capacity by running a full discharge cycle and checking the Wh drawn figure in Lenovo Vantage.
Charging stops at 80% and won't go higher — is this a fault with the replacement cell?
No — the E570 BIOS includes a Conservation Mode setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress. This is a firmware-controlled charge limit, not a battery fault. Open Lenovo Vantage, go to Power, select Battery, and switch from Conservation Mode to Normal Mode. Charging will resume to 100% on the next cycle.
