This is a 7.6V, 4800mAh (36.48Wh) lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Maibenben MaiBook S431 laptop. It uses OEM part number CN6613-2S3P and fits the S431 notebook directly. Install it when the original cell no longer powers the machine adequately or refuses to charge.

  • MaiBook S431 fitment: The S431 uses a 2S3P cell configuration on a 7.6V nominal rail. The CN6613-2S3P part number matches the connector pinout and BMS communication protocol that the S431 motherboard expects. Swapping in a mismatched cell will trigger a BIOS battery-unknown error immediately.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge and discharge cycles on the S431 platform. The BMS handshake completed correctly, the BIOS recognised the battery without flags, and charge current stepped down cleanly at the 4.35V-per-cell threshold.
  • Post-install calibration on the MaiBook S431: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge until the laptop hibernates on low battery, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This does not affect charging or discharge behaviour. Confirm the voltage rail reads 7.6V in the OS battery report — if it does, the cell is operating correctly.

The MaiBook S431 BIOS includes a charge-limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell wear. This is a firmware control, not a fault with the replacement cell. Go into the BIOS battery settings and confirm the charge threshold is set to 100%. Once that's changed and saved, the cell will charge to full on the next cycle.

The battery percentage on the MaiBook S431 is jumping around wildly — drops 15% in minutes, then climbs back — why?

The fuel gauge IC is still mapping the new cell's discharge curve. The old calibration data does not match the CN6613-2S3P cell, so the reported percentage swings until the IC builds an accurate profile.
