Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Schenker Slim 15-L17(N751WU) / Slim 17-L17(N770WU) — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.4V, 2200mAh (31.68Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Schenker Slim 15-L17(N751WU), Slim 17-L17(N770WU), and Slim 15-L17(10504565). It fits the original battery bay and connects via the stock connector. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or stops accepting power entirely.
- Slim 15 and Slim 17 platform fit: Both the N751WU and N770WU chassis share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The BMS reads voltage, current, and temperature identically across both board revisions.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on an N751WU board. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, charge current ramped correctly to CV phase, and protection tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Post-install calibration on the Slim 15: After fitting, run one full discharge to hibernate cutoff — let the laptop shut itself down — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on the first boot after every cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting this cell
The Schenker Slim 15 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM embedded in the battery pack. When a new cell arrives, that EEPROM holds factory baseline data that does not match the BIOS's stored discharge history from the old cell. The firmware flags this mismatch as "poor health" or "replace battery" even though the cell is new. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% forces the BIOS to rewrite its reference data against the new cell's actual voltage curve. After that single calibration cycle, the health indicator updates correctly.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC's state-of-charge map is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under combined CPU and display load at a point the IC still maps as 20–30% remaining. The laptop interprets the voltage drop as a critical low and cuts power immediately. To fix it, run two to three full discharge-to-hibernate cycles followed by uninterrupted charges to 100% — this gives the fuel gauge IC enough data to remap the new cell's actual capacity curve. After calibration, shutdowns should stop well below 10% indicated charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Schenker Slim 15 shows the replacement battery as "0% available (plugged in, charging)" and never moves off zero — what's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC is reading EEPROM data from the new cell that conflicts with its stored charge history, so it locks the display at 0% while the cell actually charges in the background. Leave the laptop plugged in for a full uninterrupted charge, then drain it fully to hibernate cutoff without interruption. Repeat that cycle twice. After the second full cycle the IC recalibrates its map against the new cell and the percentage reading normalises.
System information shows this battery as 21Wh or a different Wh rating than the 31.68Wh on the listing — is the cell wrong?
No — this is an EEPROM rated-versus-actual discrepancy. The EEPROM in the replacement pack may carry a factory-stamped design capacity that the OS reads directly, while the 31.68Wh figure reflects actual measured cell capacity at full charge. Run the battery learn cycle — one full discharge to hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the OS will update its Wh display to match the real measured capacity the fuel gauge IC logs during that cycle.
The Slim 17-L17(N770WU) stops charging at 80% and will not go higher — is this a battery fault?
This is almost always the BIOS charge-limit setting, not a fault with the cell. Schenker and the underlying Clevo firmware include a battery conservation mode that caps charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress — it ships enabled on some units. Go into the BIOS or the Schenker Control Center software, locate the battery charge threshold or conservation mode setting, and set the upper limit to 100%. The cell itself charges to full 14.4V when that firmware cap is removed.
