Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Terrans Force S4-1060 Series — 7.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 7.6V, 8000mAh (60.8Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Terrans Force S4-1060-77T, S4-1060-77H, S4-1060-ZXG2, and related S4-1060 variants. It slots into the same bay as the original cell and uses the same connector and BMS communication protocol. Install it when the factory battery no longer holds voltage under load or fails to charge past a fraction of its rated capacity.
- S4-1060 series compatibility: The S4-1060 variants share a common battery bay dimension (222 × 73 × 9.2mm), identical 7.6V nominal voltage rail, and the same two-wire SMBus line the laptop's charge controller uses for cell authentication. That shared hardware spec is why one cell fits the full model range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the S4-1060 platform. The BMS negotiated correctly with the charge IC on first insertion, and the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage cutoff without triggering a hard shutdown outside of that threshold.
- Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run the laptop down to hibernate-cutoff on a real workload — do not let it idle to empty — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to register the new cell's actual capacity and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap.
Why the S4-1060 shuts down at 20–30% after a battery swap
The S4-1060's charge controller stores discharge curve data from the previous cell in firmware. When a new cell arrives with a different internal resistance profile, the controller's voltage predictions go stale. Under full CPU and display load, voltage drops faster than the stored curve expects, and the system interprets a mid-charge state as critically low. Running two to three full discharge-to-hibernate and uninterrupted-charge cycles rewrites that curve against the actual new cell and stops the premature shutdown.
BIOS reporting 0% or unknown battery health after fitting the new cell
The EEPROM data written by the original factory cell stays cached in the BIOS even after physical removal. When a replacement cell connects, the BIOS compares incoming SMBus data against that cached fingerprint and flags a mismatch as poor or unknown health. This is a firmware state issue, not a fault with the replacement cell. Boot into the BIOS battery settings, clear or reset the battery health data if the option exists, then run one full learn cycle — charge to 100%, discharge to hibernate, charge back to 100%.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Terrans Force S4-1060 fuel gauge jumps around — showing 60%, then 80%, then back to 45% — after fitting the new battery. What's wrong?
The fuel gauge IC on the S4-1060 motherboard uses a learned discharge curve from the old cell to estimate state of charge. A new cell with different chemistry characteristics makes those estimates unreliable until the IC recalibrates. Run three full cycles — discharge to hibernate cutoff under real workload, then charge uninterrupted to 100% each time. After the third cycle the gauge readings stabilise.
The replacement battery shows the wrong Wh rating in system information — it says 48Wh but the cell is rated 60.8Wh. Is the cell underspec?
The Wh figure in system info is read from an EEPROM register on the battery's BMS board, and that register can hold the rated value from a previous firmware revision or a different cell variant. The physical cell capacity is 60.8Wh as shipped. To confirm actual capacity, run a full discharge-to-hibernate cycle and check the mWh drawn figure in a battery report — on Windows, run `powercfg /batteryreport` and check the Full Charge Capacity line after one complete cycle.
New battery installed in the S4-1060 but charge stops at 80% and won't go higher — charger is still connected.
The S4-1060 BIOS includes a charge limit setting that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress — this is a firmware control, not a fault with the replacement cell. Open the BIOS at startup, navigate to the battery or power management section, and check for a charge limit or battery health mode toggle. Disable it or set the threshold to 100%, save, and reboot. The cell will then charge to its full rated capacity.
