Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Wooking Jiasha ST Pro — 7.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery
This 7.7V, 9300mAh (71.61Wh) Li-Polymer battery fits the Wooking Jiasha ST Pro laptop. It replaces the original cell when capacity has dropped to the point the machine can no longer hold a usable charge through a work session. Voltage and connector match the original spec.
- Jiasha ST Pro fit: The ST Pro uses a slim 5.40mm Li-Polymer cell with a fixed 7.7V rail feeding the system board. Swapping to a cell outside that voltage range will trip the laptop's protection circuit, so this replacement matches the original voltage and physical envelope exactly.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles through the BMS and confirmed the protection IC engages correctly at low-voltage cutoff. The cell accepted a full charge without thermal event and the BMS reported state-of-charge back to the host correctly after calibration cycles.
- Post-install calibration for the ST Pro: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate-cutoff under normal load, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on this platform.
BIOS reporting battery health as poor after installing the new cell
The Jiasha ST Pro stores battery health data in EEPROM tied to the original cell. When a new cell goes in, the BIOS compares current readings against that stored profile and flags a mismatch as poor health. This is not a fault with the replacement — it is stale data from the old cell. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After two to three of those cycles the BIOS learn cycle updates the stored profile and the warning clears.
Laptop shutting down at 20–30% charge shown on screen
This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet calibrated against the new cell's actual discharge curve. The gauge loses accuracy in the lower range and the laptop hits a real voltage cliff before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The system interprets the sudden voltage drop as an emergency and forces shutdown. Run two full discharge-to-hibernate cycles without interrupting the process — after that the fuel gauge re-maps its curve against the new cell and the shutdowns stop. Confirm the cell voltage reads above 6.0V at the point the OS reports 20% before you call it a fault.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Jiasha ST Pro shows the battery as "Unknown" or 0% immediately after fitting the new cell — what's wrong?
The laptop's fuel gauge IC lost its reference data when the old cell was removed and hasn't yet mapped the new cell's capacity curve. This is an EEPROM calibration gap, not a wiring or compatibility fault. Charge fully to 100% without interruption, then discharge to hibernate-cutoff under normal use — repeat this once more. After two full cycles the gauge IC locks onto the new cell's profile and the OS reads state-of-charge correctly.
System info shows the wrong Wh rating for this battery — it doesn't match the 71.61Wh spec on the listing.
The Wh figure displayed in your OS or BIOS reads from the cell's EEPROM, which stores the rated value written at manufacture. If the displayed number differs from 71.61Wh, the EEPROM on this cell carries a slightly different rated figure than the actual measured chemistry — this is a data field difference, not a capacity fault. The cell still delivers the full 9300mAh at 7.7V in practice. Check actual charge/discharge behaviour over two calibration cycles rather than relying on the EEPROM-reported Wh figure alone.
New battery charges to 100% the first time but drops to stopping at 80% on every charge after that — is the cell faulty?
Charge stopping at 80% on the Jiasha ST Pro is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Many laptops activate a battery conservation mode after the first full charge cycle, capping the charge ceiling to reduce long-term cell stress. Check the Wooking power management utility or the BIOS settings under a battery or power section for a charge limit or conservation mode toggle. Disabling that setting restores charging to 100%.
