Fits Ingenico A8 Pro and A8 Pro-92D3 payment terminals; replaces OEM battery LD18650F-1 and LD18650H-1.
7.4V, 3350mAh Li-ion cell delivers 24.79Wh to sustain transaction processing through merchant shifts without mid-sale power loss.
Connector seats into the terminal's battery slot with positive contact orientation; locking tab engages flush against the housing frame.
We bench-tested this cell in an A8 Pro dock charger and confirmed BMS handshake accepted on first insertion without fault codes.
On first deployment after installation, run one complete transaction cycle before live use — the terminal calibrates battery capacity during normal operation and requires a full power event to sync the charge indicator.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ingenico A8 Pro / A8 Pro-92D3 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LD18650F-1)

This 7.4V 3350mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in the Ingenico A8 Pro and A8 Pro-92D3 payment terminals. It carries OEM part numbers LD18650F-1 and LD18650H-1. Voltage, connector, and BMS communication match the original to keep the terminal operating normally.

  • A8 Pro and A8 Pro-92D3 compatibility: Both models share the same 7.4V power rail, battery connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell design covers both variants without any adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge, idle, and active transaction loads on the A8 Pro. The BMS negotiated correctly at first boot, held voltage under combined display, wireless, and printer draw, and did not trip an overcurrent fault during receipt printing.
  • First deployment tip: After fitting the battery, complete one full transaction cycle before taking the terminal live. The A8 Pro maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately.

Receipt printer causing voltage sag on the A8 Pro

The thermal printer in the A8 Pro pulls a short, sharp current spike each time a receipt prints. An aged or deeply discharged battery cannot sustain voltage through that spike, which causes the BMS to trip and the terminal to reboot mid-transaction. A fresh cell at full charge handles this draw without a voltage drop sufficient to trigger the overcurrent threshold. If the terminal reboots consistently at the print step, check battery voltage at rest — anything below 7.0V under no load indicates a cell that needs replacement.

Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 1–2% per month. A terminal stored for several months can drop the cell below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell, or 5.0V for a 7.4V two-cell pack. When the BMS sees voltage below that floor, it locks the output rail and the terminal will not respond to the power button. Connect the terminal to its charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on — most BMS units will re-initialise once the cell recovers above 6.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Ingenico A8 Pro reboots every time it tries to print a receipt — is the battery causing this?

Yes, this is a known failure mode on the A8 Pro. The thermal printer pulls a current spike at the moment of printing, and a degraded battery cannot hold voltage through that spike — the BMS trips and the terminal restarts. Replace the battery and confirm resting voltage reads above 7.2V before deploying. If reboots continue on a new battery, check the printer head for a partial jam increasing motor draw.

The A8 Pro powered on but it won't finish the boot sequence — it just loops at the startup screen after a battery swap.

This is a BMS handshake issue. The A8 Pro's PCI boot sequence includes a battery authentication step, and a new cell sometimes needs one full charge cycle before the terminal accepts it. Plug the terminal into the charger and let it charge to 100% without interruption, then power it on again. If the loop continues after a full charge cycle, confirm the replacement battery part number matches LD18650F-1 or LD18650H-1.

The A8 Pro has been sitting in a stockroom for months and won't turn on at all — not even a charge indicator light.

Self-discharge has likely dropped the cell below the BMS recovery threshold. Connect the terminal to its charger and leave it for 30 to 45 minutes without pressing any buttons — the BMS needs time to detect the trickle input and re-initialise the output rail. Once the charge indicator light appears, let the terminal charge fully before powering on. If no light appears after 45 minutes on a known-working charger, the original cell has gone below the point of recovery and needs replacement.
