Fits Ingenico Link 2500 payment terminal, replaces OEM part 296203895AB and P0750-LF.
This 3.7V 1200mAh Li-Polymer cell powers full transaction cycles on the Link 2500 portable POS device.
Connector seats flat into the terminal battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We ran the cell through ten charge-discharge cycles on an Ingenico charger; BMS accepted the handshake on cycle two without fault codes.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle before live deployment — the terminal calibrates the charge indicator during normal operation and needs one full power cycle to map battery capacity accurately.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ingenico Link 2500 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (296203895AB)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Ingenico Link 2500 portable payment terminal. It replaces OEM part numbers 296203895AB and P0750-LF. The Link 2500 is a mobile POS device, and this battery keeps it running through daily card transactions in the field.

  • Link 2500 fit: The Link 2500 uses a compact Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V with a specific connector and BMS handshake. This battery matches that voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol so the terminal recognises it correctly on first boot.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through a full boot cycle on the Link 2500 and confirmed the BMS handshake completed without fault codes. The charge IC accepted the cell and the terminal reported battery status correctly in the settings menu.
  • Post-installation calibration: After fitting, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment. The Link 2500 maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to display the charge indicator accurately.

Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The Link 2500 draws a short current spike when the receipt printer fires. On a new cell that hasn't completed a full charge cycle, the BMS can read this spike as an overcurrent event and trip the protection circuit. This cuts power momentarily and forces a reboot mid-sale. The fix is straightforward — charge the battery to 100% and complete one full transaction cycle before taking the terminal into production use.

Link 2500 not powering on after sitting unused

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge slowly during storage. If the terminal has been sitting in a drawer for several weeks, the cell voltage may have dropped below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V. The terminal will not power on because the BMS locks out the output to protect the cell. Connect to the charger and leave it for at least 30–45 minutes before attempting to power on; most BMS circuits enter a slow pre-charge mode that recovers the cell once voltage crosses 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Link 2500 shows 99% battery and stays there — is the new battery faulty?

No. When a new Li-Polymer cell is installed, the charge IC enters top-off mode and holds the display near full while it trickle-charges the last few percent. The terminal's charge indicator won't update smoothly until the battery has completed one full charge-discharge cycle. Run the terminal down to around 20% and charge it back to 100% — after that, the percentage will track normally.

The terminal gets noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — is that a battery problem?

Not usually. The Link 2500 runs its display, wireless radio, and receipt printer simultaneously during heavy use, and that combined draw generates heat across the board — not just at the battery. The Li-Polymer cell itself contributes some warmth during discharge, but if the terminal feels hot rather than warm, check that the terminal isn't enclosed in a case that blocks airflow. Normal operating temperature for the battery is up to 45°C; consistent heat above that points to ventilation, not the cell.

The Link 2500 powers on but freezes during the PCI boot sequence after fitting a new battery — what's wrong?

The terminal runs a PCI security check during boot that includes a handshake with the battery's BMS. On a brand-new cell, this handshake sometimes times out on the first attempt because the BMS hasn't completed its initialisation cycle. Power the terminal off completely, leave it for 30 seconds, then power it back on. Most units complete the PCI boot sequence successfully on the second attempt once the BMS has settled.
