Fits Sunmi V1S, V2, P1, and W6900 payment terminals — replaces OEM battery SMBP001 and SM-INR18650M26-1S2P.
3.7V and 6700mAh delivers 24.79Wh to sustain full transaction cycles without mid-sale shutdowns on this POS platform.
Connector type is proprietary Sunmi slot with locking tab — seats straight into the battery bay without forcing.
We bench tested this cell on a V1S unit running back-to-back card authorizations; BMS accepted handshake on first boot with no fault codes.
After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment — the terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and requires at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sunmi V1S / V2 / P1 / W6900 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SMBP001)

This is a 3.7V, 6700mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Sunmi V1S, V2, P1, and W6900 mobile payment terminals. It matches OEM part numbers SMBP001 and SM-INR18650M26-1S2P. If your terminal dies mid-shift or can no longer hold charge through a full trading day, this is the direct replacement.

  • V1S, V2, P1, and W6900 compatibility: These four terminals share the same single-cell 3.7V rail, the same physical cavity dimensions, and the same BMS handshake protocol. One battery fits all four without any firmware or connector workaround.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full charge-discharge runs and simulated combined printer, display, and wireless draw. The BMS held cutoff thresholds correctly and passed charge-state reporting back to the terminal OS without errors.
  • Post-swap calibration for payment terminals: After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator correctly.

Terminal rebooting mid-transaction after battery swap

The V1S receipt printer draws a short, sharp current spike every time it fires. On a new battery that hasn't completed a calibration cycle, the BMS can read this spike as an overcurrent event and trip the protection circuit, killing power instantly. This looks like a random reboot but it's a BMS overcurrent response, not a software crash. Run the terminal through several complete transaction cycles — including receipts — before live deployment. Once the BMS has logged normal operating current draws, the trips stop.

Terminal not powering on after sitting unused in a drawer

Li-ion cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. A terminal left unused for several months can drop the cell voltage below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V — and the BMS locks out to prevent damage. The terminal won't respond to the power button. Connect the original Sunmi charger and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing anything; the charge IC will trickle-charge the cell back above the recovery threshold before switching to normal charge mode. Once the charge indicator appears on screen, the BMS has re-initialised.

Frequently Asked Questions

The charge indicator on my Sunmi V1S has been stuck at 99% since I installed the new battery — is it faulty?

It isn't faulty. When a new Li-ion cell first enters a charger, the charge IC enters top-off mode and holds at a near-full state while it conditions the cell surface. The display reads 99% because the terminal hasn't yet received a confirmed 100% flag from the BMS. Unplug the charger, run the terminal through one complete transaction cycle until charge drops to around 90%, then recharge to full — the indicator will clear to 100% and track normally from that point.

My Sunmi V1S is getting noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — should I be concerned?

Some heat is expected. The combined draw from the display backlight, wireless radio, and receipt printer during a heavy transaction period pulls continuous current that generates heat in the cell. If the terminal is warm to the touch but not hot, and it isn't shutting down, the BMS is managing it correctly. If the terminal does shut down from heat, check that the rear battery cover is fully seated — a loose cover interrupts airflow and accelerates heat buildup. Let the terminal rest for five minutes and restart.

My Sunmi V1S won't get past the boot screen after I fitted the new battery — it just restarts in a loop.

This is a BMS handshake timing issue, not a defective battery. The V1S runs a PCI security boot sequence that queries the battery BMS before completing startup. If the BMS hasn't yet accepted the terminal's handshake — which can happen on the very first boot with a new cell — the terminal fails the check and resets. Hold the power button down for a full 10 seconds to force a hard reset, then allow the terminal to boot without interruption. If the loop continues, connect the charger first and boot while on charge — the charge IC presence stabilises the BMS enough to complete the handshake.
