Fits Ingenico Move 5000 3G Bluetooth payment terminal, replaces OEM part F12432566.
3.7V 2600mAh Li-ion cell delivers full transaction cycles without mid-sale shutdowns on this terminal.
Connector slides into the battery slot with positive contact facing the spring terminal.
We bench-tested this cell in a Move 5000 3G unit — BMS accepted handshake on first boot, no fault codes.
After installation, run one complete transaction cycle before live deployment so the terminal calibrates its charge indicator correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Ingenico Move 5000 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (F12432566)

This 3.7V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number F12432566 in Ingenico Move 5000 payment terminals. It fits the Move 5000 3G Bluetooth, 3G WiFi Bluetooth, 3G/GPRS, and 4G Bluetooth variants. Same voltage, same capacity, same connector as the original Ingenico cell.

  • Move 5000 variant compatibility: All Move 5000 models listed share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V supply rail, and F12432566 connector format. The BMS handshake protocol is identical across the 3G, 4G, and WiFi Bluetooth sub-variants, so one battery fits the whole range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a Move 5000 3G unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, the charge indicator updated correctly, and the terminal completed transaction sequences without tripping overcurrent protection.
  • First transaction cycle after installation: Complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment. The Move 5000 maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to calibrate the charge indicator accurately — skipping this step leaves the gauge unreliable in the field.

Why the Move 5000 reboots mid-transaction after a battery swap

The Move 5000 draws a combined load from the display, wireless radio, and receipt printer simultaneously during a sale. On a new or recently installed cell, the BMS has not yet profiled the battery's internal resistance under that load. If the combined current spike exceeds the BMS overcurrent threshold before profiling completes, the terminal cuts power and reboots. Running two or three complete transaction cycles after installation lets the BMS establish accurate current limits and eliminates most reboot events.

Terminal stuck at 99% charge and won't read full

A new Li-ion cell ships at a partial state of charge. When first placed on charge, the Move 5000's charge IC enters top-off mode and holds the display at 99% while it trickle-charges the final capacity increment. This is normal behaviour — not a fault with the battery or the terminal. The indicator moves to 100% once the charge IC confirms the cell has reached its termination voltage of approximately 4.2V. Allow a full uninterrupted charge cycle to complete before reading the percentage as accurate.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Move 5000 won't power on at all — it's been sitting in a drawer for a few months. Is the battery dead?

Extended storage without use causes Li-ion cells to self-discharge below the BMS recovery threshold — typically under 2.5V — and the terminal refuses to boot from that state. Connect the terminal to its charging cradle or USB-C supply and leave it for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. The charge IC needs time to trickle-charge the cell back above the 2.8V recovery threshold before the BMS will allow a boot sequence. If the terminal still shows nothing after 30 minutes on charge, try a second 30-minute charge cycle before concluding the cell is unrecoverable.

The Move 5000 completed the PCI boot sequence fine yesterday, but today it freezes halfway through startup on the new battery — what's happening?

The PCI boot sequence runs a self-check that includes a battery voltage validation step. If the cell voltage hasn't stabilised after installation — common in the first few charge cycles — the terminal can fail that check and halt. Charge the terminal fully, then power it off and back on without connecting to a transaction session first. One complete charge-to-full cycle, followed by a clean cold boot, is usually enough for the BMS to pass the voltage validation and let the PCI sequence complete.

The terminal gets noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — is that a battery problem or something else?

Warmth during heavy use is normal on the Move 5000. The combined draw from the backlit display, Bluetooth or 4G radio, and thermal receipt printer creates sustained current pull that generates heat across both the cell and the processor. The battery itself contributes a small amount through internal resistance. As long as the terminal doesn't shut down or display a temperature warning, this is within spec. If the terminal does cut out, let it cool for five minutes and check that the battery contacts are clean and fully seated before restarting.
