Fujitsu Loox N560 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (S26391-F2607-L50)

This is a 3.7V 2250mAh Li-ion battery for the Fujitsu Loox N560, N560c, N560e, and N560p Pocket PCs. It replaces OEM part S26391-F2607-L50 and restores main power to the handheld. Capacity is sourced from the product specification — 8.33Wh at 3.7V nominal.

  • Loox N560 variant coverage: The N560, N560c, N560e, and N560p share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits all four variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Loox N560 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the host device and the charge indicator responded as expected at each voltage threshold.
  • Sync before you swap: The Loox N560 holds open application state and unsaved data in volatile SRAM powered directly by the main battery. Removing the cell without first syncing to ActiveSync or a host PC will wipe anything not written to flash storage.

Why the Loox N560 loses data when the battery is replaced

Unlike modern smartphones, the Loox N560 runs Windows Mobile on a SRAM-backed architecture. Any data held in RAM — open contacts, calendar entries, unsaved notes, application state — depends on continuous battery voltage to stay intact. The moment main power drops to zero during a swap, that RAM contents are gone. Some N560 units include a small backup capacitor that provides a few seconds of hold-up, but it is not reliable enough to cover a full battery change. Sync to a host machine via ActiveSync before removing the cell.

Loox N560 stuck on boot screen after new battery installed

A new Li-ion cell shipped in storage state may arrive below the minimum voltage the Loox N560 boot ROM requires to complete POST. The device will either hang on the boot screen or display a low-battery warning before shutting down. Connect the Loox to its charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the cell reaches approximately 3.6V, the boot sequence completes normally.

I installed the new battery but the Loox N560 won't get past the boot screen — what's wrong?

Li-ion cells ship in a low-storage state to comply with transport regulations, and the Loox N560 boot sequence requires a minimum voltage to complete. If the cell arrives below roughly 3.5V, the device will hang or shut down before Windows Mobile loads. Plug the Loox into its charger for 30 minutes before powering it on — once the cell is above 3.6V, the boot completes without issue.

Wireless sync keeps dropping on my Loox N560 even with the new battery fully charged — what's causing it?

The Bluetooth and Wi-Fi radios on the Loox N560 are voltage-sensitive and draw significantly more current than the device does in standby. If the cell has even moderate capacity fade or a weak BMS connection, the voltage sags under radio load and the device drops the connection to protect the hardware. Confirm the battery is reading a full charge in the system settings, then check that the battery contacts are clean and seated firmly — a partial contact can cause the same sag symptom as a weak cell.
