This 7.4V, 6800mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the OEM 550053-000 pack in the Intermec RP4 mobile thermal printer. The RP4 is used for on-site receipt and label printing in retail, delivery, and field service. Swap this in when the original pack no longer holds charge through a full shift.

The RP4 runs its Bluetooth radio and thermal print head from the same power rail. This looks like a pairing fault or app crash but is actually a voltage sag event. A fresh, fully charged pack eliminates the sag and keeps the radio stable through the full print queue.

RP4 printing faded or uneven text on a charged battery

The thermal print head needs a stable voltage to maintain consistent head temperature across the full print width. A degraded or partially discharged pack causes micro-dips during the heating cycle, which produces faded bands or uneven density across labels. If fading appears on a battery that reads as charged, check the pack's resting voltage with a multimeter — anything below 7.2V at rest signals a cell imbalance. Replace the pack and run a full charge before the next job.
