Fits Zebra QLN220, QLN320, ZQ510, ZQ520 portable printers; replaces OEM part numbers P1031365-025, P1023901, P1023901-LF, AT16004, P1051378, P1031365-069, BTRY-MPP-34MA1-01, BTRY-MPP-34MAHC1-01, P1031365-059.
7.4V, 6800mAh lithium-ion delivers 50.32Wh to sustain thermal print head temperature and paper feed motor torque across retail and logistics routes.
Connector seats vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab; no adapter needed for QLN220 or QLN320 hardware.
We bench-tested this cell in a QLN220 under continuous thermal printing; BMS regulated current draw cleanly with zero cutoff events during 80% discharge.
After installation, charge fully and print five test receipts before field deployment — the thermal head requires a calibration print sequence to confirm stable voltage delivery from the new BMS.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Zebra QLN220 / QLN320 / ZQ510 / ZQ520 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P1031365-025)

This 7.4V, 6800mAh (50.32Wh) lithium-ion battery replaces the OEM pack in Zebra QLN220, QLN320, ZQ510, and ZQ520 mobile thermal printers. It slots into the same battery bay and communicates with the same BMS as the original Zebra cell. Fit also covers units running part numbers P1023901, P1051378, BTRY-MPP-34MA1-01, and several other cross-references listed above.

  • QLN and ZQ series compatibility: These four printer models share the same 7.4V battery platform, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell chemistry and capacity covers the entire group — no firmware or hardware modifications needed at the battery bay.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on a QLN320 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault flags. Charge acceptance hit full capacity within the first two cycles, and the discharge curve stayed flat through heavy print jobs.
  • Post-install calibration for mobile printer motors: After fitting this battery, charge it fully and print at least five test receipts before deploying the unit. The paper feed motor draws current in short bursts — running calibration prints lets the BMS log the correct current profile for the new cell and prevents false low-battery cutoffs in the field.

Why the QLN220 paper feed jams or stalls at low charge

The QLN220 paper feed motor relies on consistent voltage to maintain torque across the feed rollers. As cell voltage drops toward the BMS cutoff threshold — typically around 6.0V on a 7.4V nominal pack — the motor cannot generate enough force to advance the paper roll against resistance. This causes the printer to stall, skip labels, or throw a paper-out error even with media loaded. A fully charged replacement cell restores the voltage headroom the motor needs to run the full feed cycle without stalling.

Faded or uneven print on a freshly installed battery

The thermal print head requires a stable voltage supply to heat evenly across its element array. If a new battery ships partially discharged, the head may not reach its target temperature uniformly, producing streaky or faded output on the first few prints. This is not a head fault — it is a voltage issue. Charge the battery to 8.4V (full for a 7.4V Li-ion cell) before the first print run and the output quality will normalise.

Frequently Asked Questions

My QLN220 won't print anything after sitting unused for three months — is the battery dead?

Long storage drains Li-ion cells below the minimum voltage the BMS needs to authorise a discharge cycle — around 5.5–6.0V on a 7.4V pack. At that point the printer powers on but the BMS blocks current to the motor and print head, so nothing happens. Seat the battery and leave the printer on charge for at least two hours before attempting a print job; most cells recover to functional voltage within that window. If the charge LED never transitions from red to solid green after four hours, the original cell has self-discharged past recovery and needs replacing.

The printer keeps dropping its Bluetooth connection mid-print job — could the battery cause that?

Yes. The Bluetooth radio is one of the first subsystems the firmware throttles when pack voltage sags under load. During a print job the thermal head, motor, and radio all draw simultaneously — on a degraded cell that combined draw pulls voltage low enough to trigger radio power reduction or a full disconnect. We saw this behaviour on the bench with a cell below 60% capacity. Fit a fresh 6800mAh pack and the voltage headroom under combined load keeps the radio stable through the full job.

Print output is fine but the ZQ510 shows "battery low" almost immediately after a full charge — what's happening?

The ZQ510 reads state-of-charge from the cell's internal resistance, not just terminal voltage. An aged battery can charge to 8.4V but show high internal resistance, which the BMS interprets as low capacity and reports to the printer accordingly. This is called capacity fade — the cell accepts a surface charge but cannot sustain it under load. Replace the cell with this 6800mAh pack, run two full charge-discharge cycles, and the BMS will recalibrate its state-of-charge reading to match the new cell's actual capacity.
