Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Collomix Xo 10 NC / PRO HT Winkelschleifer — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 18V Li-ion pack replaces the original battery on the Collomix Xo 10 NC cordless mixer and PRO HT Winkelschleifer. Capacity is 3000mAh (54Wh). Both tools share this battery platform, so one replacement covers either machine on-site.
- Xo 10 NC and PRO HT platform fit: Both tools run the same 18V rail and use an identical connector block and BMS handshake protocol. The pack registers correctly in either tool without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on a load tester matched to the Xo 10 NC motor draw profile. The BMS held within spec at inrush and sustained load, and cell temperatures stayed within the protection window throughout.
- First-use mixer load cycling: On first use, run the Xo 10 NC at partial load — mixing lighter material or short stir cycles — for the first two uses before running full mortar or concrete batches. This lets the BMS record the motor's inrush current signature before locking overcurrent thresholds, reducing the chance of a nuisance trip on heavy mix.
BMS cutoff on the Xo 10 NC when mixing stiff mortar
The Xo 10 NC motor pulls a significant inrush spike the moment the paddle bites into stiff mortar or dry concrete mix. If the BMS has not yet mapped the motor's current profile, it can read that spike as an overcurrent fault and cut the pack. This happens most often on a new pack or one returning from storage. The fix is to give the BMS two or three light-load cycles first so it learns the motor's normal start current before it sees a full stiff-mix load.
Charger not recognising the pack after it has sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the pack voltage drops below roughly 2.5V per cell, most chargers will not begin a charge cycle — the charger simply does nothing or flashes an error. A battery recovery charger with a wake or boost mode can apply a low-current trickle to bring cell voltage back above the acceptance threshold, typically around 3.0V per cell. Once the pack clears that threshold, a standard charger will recognise it and complete a normal charge cycle. If the pack does not respond to a recovery trickle after 30 minutes, the cells have degraded beyond recovery.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Xo 10 NC cuts out the moment the paddle hits a stiff batch — why does this keep happening?
The motor draws a sharp inrush spike when it bites into dense material, and if the BMS has not yet mapped that current profile, it trips the overcurrent protection and shuts the pack down. This is most common on a new pack or one that has been sitting unused. Run two or three light-mix cycles first — thin slurry or short stir passes — before loading the mixer with full mortar or concrete. After that the BMS recognises the normal start current and the nuisance trips stop.
The mixer runs but feels sluggish and bogs down under load even though the battery shows charged — what is causing that?
Sluggish running under load points to voltage sag, not a low state of charge. Voltage sag happens when the cells cannot sustain the current the motor demands — rail voltage drops mid-draw and the motor loses torque. The first thing to check is the contact resistance at the battery terminal — clean the contacts on both the pack and the tool with a dry cloth and check for corrosion or debris. If the sag persists after cleaning, measure the pack voltage under load with a multimeter: a healthy 18V pack should hold above 16V under normal mixing load.
The battery worked fine in summer but the Xo 10 NC is sluggish and trips out in cold weather on the job site — is the pack faulty?
It is not faulty — Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which means the cells cannot deliver current as fast as the motor demands, causing voltage sag and BMS trips under load. Keep the pack in a warm location between uses — inside a vehicle or site cabin — and fit it to the tool just before mixing. A pack that has warmed back above 10°C will deliver noticeably more power and trip less frequently under mortar load.
