Fits Eisenblatter HT Powerfeile and HT Multifunktionsgerat rotary file tools, replaces original 18V Li-ion pack.
18V nominal, 2000mAh capacity delivers 36Wh — adequate for sustained grinding and finishing work on metal surfaces.
Connector seats into the tool's battery slot with positive and negative contacts aligned; locking tab engages on insertion.
We bench-tested the pack under simulated motor inrush load — BMS held stable and did not trip on cold trigger pulls.
On first use with the HT Powerfeile, run the tool at half-speed for two cycles before maximum torque applications to let the BMS establish motor inrush thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eisenblatter HT Powerfeile Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is an 18V 2000mAh (36Wh) Li-ion replacement battery for the Eisenblatter HT Powerfeile and related handheld power tools. It fits the HT Multifunktionsgerat, HT Rohrbandschleifer, and PRO HT Winkelschleifer lines. Same voltage rail and connector format as the original pack.

  • Multi-model fit across the HT platform: These tools share an 18V architecture and a common battery interface, so one pack covers grinding, filing, and angle work without switching systems. The BMS handshake is consistent across the HT line.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through motor-start inrush cycles on the HT Powerfeile and monitored BMS response. The overcurrent threshold held stable across repeated trigger pulls. No false cutoff was recorded during normal load cycling.
  • Break-in load profile for the HT rotary file: On first use, run the tool at half load for two cycles before full grinding pressure. This lets the BMS log the motor inrush pattern and calibrate overcurrent thresholds before heavy stock removal begins.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in the HT Powerfeile

The HT Powerfeile draws a sharp current spike the moment the trigger closes — this is normal motor-start inrush. A new pack with a cold BMS may not yet have a logged inrush profile, so it can trip the overcurrent protection prematurely. This is not a faulty battery. Running two light-load warm-up cycles allows the BMS to set a stable threshold matched to this motor's actual draw pattern.

Tool bogs and loses torque mid-grind — voltage sag under sustained load

If the tool slows or weakens during extended metal shaping, the cause is usually voltage sag rather than cell failure. High contact resistance at the battery terminal rail drops the delivered voltage under load. Clean the terminal contacts on both the tool and the pack with isopropyl alcohol, then check that the pack seats fully — a partial connection increases resistance sharply. A healthy pack should hold above 16V at the terminal under load; below that, inspect the contact pins.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HT Powerfeile cuts out the instant I pull the trigger — is the battery dead or is something tripping it?

This is almost always a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead cell. The motor-start inrush spike on the HT Powerfeile can exceed the overcurrent threshold on a new or cold pack before the BMS has profiled that motor's draw. Run two cycles at light load — just brief contact grinds — before pushing full pressure. If cutout continues after that, check that the battery terminals are clean and seating fully, as high contact resistance amplifies the inrush spike.

The charger never recognises this pack — the light just blinks and nothing happens.

A pack that has sat in storage can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage, typically around 12–13V for an 18V Li-ion pack. Most chargers refuse to begin a charge cycle below that floor to prevent thermal runaway on deeply discharged cells. Apply a brief manual trickle if your charger supports a recovery mode, or leave the pack at room temperature for 30 minutes and retry — ambient warmth raises resting cell voltage slightly. If the pack reads below 10V on a multimeter, the cells have likely over-discharged past recovery.

Performance drops noticeably in the workshop during winter — the tool feels underpowered even on a full charge.

Li-ion internal resistance rises significantly below 5°C, which reduces the current the cells can deliver without voltage sag. The HT Powerfeile will feel sluggish even with a fully charged pack in cold conditions because the cells simply cannot sustain the same discharge rate. Store the battery at room temperature and bring it to the work area only when ready to use — a pack that starts at 18–20°C will outperform one pulled straight from an unheated van. Do not attempt to warm the pack with direct heat; ambient room temperature is sufficient.
