Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Eisenblatter HT Powerfeile Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 18V Li-ion battery at 3000mAh (54Wh) fits the Eisenblatter HT Powerfeile and related cordless tools in the HT platform — including the HT Multifunktionsgerat, HT Rohrbandschleifer, and PRO HT Winkelschleifer. It matches the original voltage rail and connector format for these compact filing, sanding, and grinding units. Capacity figures are taken directly from product data, not estimated.
- HT platform compatibility: These tools share an 18V battery architecture with a common connector and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping across the HT line works because the voltage rail and cell format are consistent across models — the charger and protection circuit treat them as the same pack.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on compatible hardware. The BMS responded correctly to inrush events on trigger pull and held the voltage rail without nuisance tripping under sustained light-to-medium load.
- First-use conditioning on filing and sanding tools: On the first two cycles, run the tool at medium feed pressure rather than full load. This allows the BMS to profile the motor's inrush current signature before it sets overcurrent thresholds — reducing the chance of false trips on later heavy-use sessions.
BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush in compact cordless tools
Compact filing and sanding tools like the HT Powerfeile draw a sharp current spike the moment the motor spins up from rest. If the BMS hasn't profiled that inrush pattern — common with a new or long-stored pack — it can interpret the spike as a fault and cut output before the tool reaches working speed. The protection circuit resets itself once the current demand drops back to zero. Trigger-cycling the tool two or three times from rest, with brief pauses between, trains the BMS to distinguish normal inrush from genuine overcurrent events.
Charger not recognising the pack after storage
Li-ion packs that have been stored without use can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell — and the charger refuses to begin a charge cycle, often showing a blinking or absent indicator light. This isn't a faulty battery or charger; it's a low-voltage lockout. Some Eisenblatter-compatible chargers have a recovery or boost mode — check the charger documentation for a wake or reconditioning step. If not, a brief connection to a compatible charger that supports low-voltage recovery will bring the pack back above 3.0V per cell, at which point a standard charge cycle will proceed normally.

Frequently Asked Questions
My HT Powerfeile cuts out the instant I pull the trigger on a new battery — why?
This is a BMS overcurrent trip caused by the motor-start inrush spike, not a faulty battery. The protection circuit on a fresh or recently stored pack hasn't yet profiled the inrush signature, so it treats the startup surge as a fault and shuts output. Trigger the tool briefly two or three times with short pauses between each pull. After a few cycles the BMS logs the inrush pattern and the cutout stops.
The tool runs but feels weak and bogs down when I press harder into the workpiece — what's causing that?
Voltage sag under load is the most likely cause — the pack's cell voltage drops under sustained current draw, and the tool loses torque as a result. Check that the battery contacts are clean and seating fully; high contact resistance makes sag significantly worse. If the contacts are clean and the pack is fully charged but sag persists, the cells may have degraded from repeated shallow cycling — consistently discharging only 20–30% before recharging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion packs. Run the pack to a lower state of charge before recharging to slow further degradation.
Does cold weather affect how this battery performs on the HT Rohrbandschleifer?
Yes — Li-ion internal resistance rises sharply below 5°C, which reduces the current the cells can deliver without tripping the BMS or sagging under load. The HT Rohrbandschleifer's belt-sanding motor draws sustained current, and that combination of cold cells and continuous load can cause the pack to cut out or run noticeably weaker than normal. Store the battery indoors and let it return to room temperature before use — even 15 minutes at 20°C makes a measurable difference in available voltage at the rail.
