Fits Fromm Dynamic 2100 cordless drill-drivers, impact drivers, and handheld saws using 14.4V battery slots.
14.4V, 5000mAh capacity delivers consistent voltage under motor load without mid-task sag on these handheld tools.
Slot connector seats flush into Dynamic 2100 battery bay; locking tab clips down and requires full counterclockwise turn to release.
Bench tested on Dynamic 2100 drill-driver; BMS held steady through trigger-pull inrush spikes and sustained full-torque fastening cycles.
On first use with this pack, run the tool at half throttle for two cycles before maximum torque drilling — allows the BMS to calibrate motor inrush current thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fromm Dynamic 2100 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V Li-ion battery pack rated at 5000mAh (72Wh) for the Fromm Dynamic 2100 cordless power tool platform. It fits drill-drivers, impact drivers, and other handheld tools in the Dynamic 2100 line. Slide the pack onto the tool's battery rail and the BMS initialises immediately on first connection.

  • Dynamic 2100 platform fit: Tools in the Dynamic 2100 line share a 14.4V rail, a common slide-on connector, and a BMS handshake protocol — this pack meets all three. No adapters needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through motor-start inrush cycles on a Dynamic 2100 drill-driver. The BMS held the overcurrent threshold correctly and did not false-trip during repeated full-torque trigger pulls.
  • Break-in on first use: Run the tool at half load for two cycles before maximum-torque applications. This lets the BMS profile the motor's inrush current draw and set accurate overcurrent protection thresholds before you push it hard.

BMS cutoff on motor-start inrush surge

Every trigger pull on a cordless drill-driver spikes current draw sharply before the motor reaches running speed. A BMS that hasn't profiled this inrush pattern can mistake it for a fault and cut the output rail. On a new or recently stored pack, this is more likely because the BMS hasn't logged enough cycles to distinguish normal start current from an overcurrent event. Two break-in cycles at reduced load resolves it in most cases.

Pack voltage too low for charger acceptance after storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge over time. If this pack has been in storage, cell voltage may have dropped below the charger's minimum acceptance threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell — causing the charger to blink red or show no response. The fix is to briefly connect the pack to the charger, disconnect, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect; some chargers require this to trigger the recovery charge mode. If the charger accepts the pack and begins charging, allow a full charge cycle before use. If the charger still rejects the pack, check individual cell voltage — a single cell below 2.0V indicates a cell that won't recover.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Dynamic 2100 drill cuts out the instant I pull the trigger hard — battery looks fully charged. What's happening?

That's a BMS overcurrent trip, not a capacity problem. The inrush current spike when the motor starts from a dead stop can exceed the BMS threshold on a new or cold pack before it has profiled the motor's start behaviour. Run two cycles at half load first — light drilling, no high-torque fastening — to let the BMS log normal inrush values. After that, full-trigger pulls should hold without cutoff.

The tool bogs down and loses power halfway through driving a long screw, but recovers after a few seconds. Is the battery failing?

That's voltage sag under sustained load, not a dead cell. As current draw stays high through a long drive cycle, internal resistance causes the rail voltage to drop — the tool's motor controller detects low voltage and reduces output. Check the battery contact rails on both the pack and the tool for debris or corrosion; high contact resistance makes sag worse. If the contacts are clean and sag still occurs heavily, the cells are beginning to age — a 5000mAh pack showing this behaviour typically measures under 4000mAh on a capacity tester.

It's cold in the workshop — the Dynamic 2100 feels sluggish and weak compared to summer. Nothing else changed. Normal?

Yes, and it's chemistry, not a defect. Li-ion internal resistance rises significantly below 5°C, which reduces the current the cells can deliver at a stable voltage. The result is reduced torque and earlier voltage sag under load — both disappear once the pack warms up. Store the battery indoors overnight and bring it to the job at room temperature; even 15 minutes of light use will warm the cells enough to restore normal output.
