Fits Milwaukee M14 and C14 PD drill, impact driver, and saw — replaces M14 BX battery pack.
14.4V at 3000mAh delivers stable voltage on trigger pull and sustained torque through full charge cycle.
Slide connector inserts straight into tool housing with single locking tab — seats flush, no force needed.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake at first insertion with zero thermal drift under half-load drill operation.
On first use with M14 drill or impact driver, run the tool at half load for two cycles before maximum torque applications — allows the BMS to profile motor inrush current draw before setting overcurrent protection thresholds.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Milwaukee M14 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (M14 BX)

This is a 14.4V 3000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for Milwaukee M14 platform tools. It fits the M14, C14 PD, C14 DD, and M14 BX models — cordless drills, impact drivers, and compact saws running on the 14.4V rail. Capacity is 3000mAh (43.2Wh), matching the original Milwaukee spec.

  • M14 platform compatibility: The M14, C14 PD, C14 DD, and M14 BX share the same 14.4V voltage rail, battery connector, and BMS communication protocol. One battery pack services the full range without any adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on Milwaukee M14 platform tools. The BMS handled motor-start inrush current without tripping, held voltage through mid-cycle load, and reported cell state correctly to Milwaukee chargers throughout.
  • Break-in load cycling: On first use, run the tool at half load for two cycles before full-torque applications. This allows the BMS to profile the motor's inrush current draw and set overcurrent thresholds accurately before you hit maximum demand.

BMS cutoff on M14 drill and impact driver motor-start inrush surge

When you pull the trigger hard on a cold pack, the motor draws a current spike well above steady running load — this is inrush current. If the BMS has not yet profiled the motor, it may read that spike as a fault and cut power before the motor reaches speed. This is more common on impact drivers and hammer drills where startup torque is high. Running two break-in cycles at partial load lets the BMS log normal inrush values and stop treating them as faults.

Tool bogs under load despite battery showing full charge

A full charge indicator does not rule out voltage sag under load. High contact resistance at the battery terminal — from dirt, corrosion, or worn spring contacts in the tool — causes voltage to drop sharply the moment current draw rises. The tool reads full at rest, then loses power the instant you engage the blade or bit. Clean the battery terminals and tool contacts with isopropyl alcohol, then check rail voltage under load — it should stay above 13V on a 14.4V pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Milwaukee M14 drill cuts out the instant I pull the trigger hard — battery seems fine at rest

That's a BMS overcurrent trip triggered by motor-start inrush current. The spike on a hard trigger pull exceeds the BMS threshold before the motor reaches running speed. Run two partial-load cycles first — light drilling only — so the BMS can log normal inrush values for this motor. After that, full-trigger pulls should stop tripping the cutoff.

The Milwaukee charger blinks red when I put this new pack on straight from the box

A pack that has sat in storage can drop below the charger's acceptance voltage, which causes the red blink. The charger won't begin a full charge cycle until the cell voltage clears its minimum threshold — typically around 10V on a 14.4V pack. Leave the pack on the charger for 15–20 minutes without removing it; most Milwaukee chargers run a trickle pre-charge that brings the cells up to acceptance voltage before switching to full charge.

The M14 battery gets hot and the tool shuts down after sustained use with a circular saw

Sustained saw cuts generate heat in both the motor and the cells simultaneously, and the enclosed battery housing traps that heat. Once cell temperature hits the BMS thermal cutoff point, it shuts the pack down to protect the cells. Remove the battery from the tool and let it cool in open air for at least ten minutes before resuming. For long continuous cuts, swap between two packs to keep cell temperature below the thermal threshold.
