Fits Monster AVL300s, AVL300, and MCC-AV100 remotes replacing the OEM 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
3.7V nominal, 950mAh capacity delivers consistent IR LED drive across all remote functions including volume and input selection.
Single-cell cartridge slides into the battery compartment with positive terminal facing outward; verify polarity before closing the battery door.
We bench-tested this cell under sustained button presses; the BMS held voltage steady above the IR trigger threshold throughout discharge.
On first install, check that both the battery positive terminal and the remote's spring contact align — reversed polarity is the leading cause of no remote response.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Monster AVL300s / MCC-AV100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 950mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Monster AVL300s, AVL300, and MCC-AV100 wireless remote controls. These remotes handle volume control, input selection, and playback functions for Monster home entertainment systems. When the original cell depletes, this direct swap restores full IR output.

  • AVL300s, AVL300, and MCC-AV100 compatibility: All three remotes share the same single-cell 3.7V Li-ion architecture and connector footprint. The cell dimensions — 53.07 x 33.08 x 7.78mm — match the original battery bay without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS maintained stable voltage across IR LED firing, with no undervoltage cutoff under normal remote-use load.
  • Single-cell Li-ion handling: Do not expose this remote to direct heat sources like sunlight on a glass shelf or near an AV receiver vent — Li-ion cells in compact remotes have minimal thermal mass and degrade faster above 40°C than alkaline alternatives would.

Why the AVL300s stops responding immediately after a new battery install

The most common cause is reversed polarity. The AVL300s battery bay is compact and the positive terminal markings can be easy to miss under poor lighting. A backwards cell delivers no voltage to the IR LED driver circuit, so the remote appears completely dead. Check the embossed + and − symbols inside the bay against the battery terminals before assuming the replacement cell is faulty. Correct orientation restores function immediately — no reset required.

AVL300s remote range shrinking — needs to point directly at the device

When the battery voltage drops below roughly 3.4V, the IR LED doesn't fire at full intensity. The remote still sends a signal, but only at close range and with a narrow angle. This is a gradual fade, not a sudden cutoff, so it can look like an IR sensor problem on the receiver end. If the remote only works within half a metre or needs to be aimed precisely, the cell is near end of life — replace it before it drops further and stops triggering the receiver at any distance.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AVL300s remote is completely dead after putting in the new battery — nothing works at all.

The most likely cause is reversed polarity. The AVL300s battery compartment is small and the terminal markings are easy to miss. Pull the battery out and check the + and − symbols embossed inside the bay, then reinstall with correct orientation. That single step fixes this in the majority of cases.

The AVL300s remote works fine up close but stops controlling the system from across the room — what's happening?

This is an IR LED output threshold issue. When cell voltage drops below roughly 3.4V, the LED still fires but at reduced intensity — enough to trigger the receiver at short range, not enough at distance. It's not an issue with the receiver or the remote's circuit. Replace the battery before it falls further, and the full operating range returns.

The new battery in my AVL300s remote is draining much faster than expected — it shouldn't be this quick.

Check for a stuck or jammed button in the remote housing. A button that isn't fully releasing keeps the IR circuit partially active and creates a constant parasitic draw on the cell. Press each button individually and confirm it springs back cleanly. If one feels spongy or stays slightly depressed, that's the source — clear the obstruction and the drain rate normalises.
