Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logitech Harmony 880 / 885 / 890 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (190304-200)
This is a 3.7V, 950mAh Li-ion battery that replaces the original rechargeable cell in the Logitech Harmony 880, 885, 890, 720, and compatible Harmony remotes. It slots directly into the internal battery bay and connects via the factory wiring harness. The OEM part numbers this cell covers include 190304-200, R-IG7, NTA2340, and HHD10010, among others listed above.
- Harmony 800-series platform fit: The 880, 885, and 890 share the same internal battery format, connector pinout, and charge circuit. All three use this 3.7V cell on the same charging rail, so one SKU covers the range without any modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the Harmony 880 charge circuit and confirmed the protection board communicates correctly with the remote's onboard charger — no false fault states, no charge interruption at top-of-charge.
- Reassembly after battery swap: The Harmony 880 back panel uses friction clips that crack if pried from the wrong edge. Start at the top corner near the charging port and work down. Forcing the base corner first is the most common cause of a cracked housing during DIY battery replacement.
Why the Harmony 880 won't charge after sitting unused for months
Li-ion cells that drop below approximately 2.5V enter a deep-discharge state where the protection circuit locks out the charge path entirely. The Harmony 880's charger delivers a low-current pre-charge to recover cells in this state, but only if the voltage hasn't fallen below the BMS hard cutoff. If the remote shows no charging indicator at all after being left discharged, leave it on the cradle for 30–60 minutes before writing off the battery — the pre-charge stage is silent and shows no LED activity on some firmware versions.
Harmony 880 IR range dropping noticeably with a new battery installed
Short IR range after a battery swap usually means the cell voltage is sitting below the threshold the remote needs to drive the IR LED at full output. This happens when the replacement cell ships partially discharged — common with Li-ion cells in storage. Place the remote on its charging cradle for a full charge cycle before testing range. Once the cell reaches 4.1–4.2V, IR output returns to normal operating distance.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Harmony 880 does nothing at all after I put in the new battery — no screen, no response to any button. What did I miss?
The most likely cause is a connector that didn't seat fully after reassembly — the JST-style plug on the Harmony 880 battery harness needs a firm push until it clicks. If the connector is seated, check that the back panel clips are fully closed, as a partially open housing can flex the board away from the battery contacts. Reopen the remote, reseat the connector, and confirm the panel is fully snapped shut before testing again.
The Harmony 880 works but I have to point it directly at the TV from half the usual distance. The battery looks new. What's going on?
This happens when the replacement cell is still at storage charge — typically around 3.6V — rather than a full 4.1–4.2V. At low voltage, the remote's IR LED doesn't get enough current to produce a strong signal. Put the remote on the charging cradle for a complete charge cycle, then retest range from your normal viewing position.
My Harmony 880 battery drains within a day or two even with light use. The remote isn't sitting on the cradle constantly. What causes that?
A stuck or debris-jammed button is the most common cause — it keeps the remote's processor awake and transmitting continuously, which kills the cell fast. Flip the remote over and press each button individually to confirm none are physically stuck or slow to spring back. If all buttons release cleanly, check whether the remote's screen stays lit longer than a few seconds after you set it down, which points to a firmware activity timeout that can be reset by power-cycling the remote.
