Fits Remington HC-352 cordless hair clipper; replaces OEM battery pack for motor restoration.
3.6V and 2000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers steady voltage under cutting load without sag until depletion.
Slides into battery chamber with flat connector alignment; locking tab seats flush against housing clip.
We bench-tested this cell across three full charge cycles; BMS accepts charge without delay and holds voltage stable under motor draw.
On first insertion into the HC-352, run the clipper at half-speed for one minute before resuming full-load cutting — Ni-MH cells establish peak torque delivery after initial motor engagement.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Remington HC-352 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Remington HC-352 hair clipper. It fits directly into the HC-352 housing and restores cordless cutting power when the original cell has degraded. Voltage and capacity match the factory specification.

  • HC-352 motor compatibility: The HC-352 runs a single-speed DC motor on a 3.6V rail. This cell matches that rail exactly. A mismatched voltage trips the clipper's low-voltage protection and the motor either stalls or refuses to start.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the HC-352's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge without fault codes. Motor draw stayed stable across the full discharge curve with no mid-cycle cutoff.
  • Ni-MH memory effect in daily-use clippers: Ni-MH cells develop a memory effect if repeatedly charged after only shallow use. With the HC-352, let the cell run down fully every third or fourth cycle before recharging — this resets the usable capacity range and keeps the indicator accurate.

Capacity fade from daily partial charging on the HC-352

Ni-MH chemistry responds poorly to shallow daily cycles. If you charge the HC-352 after every short use without fully depleting it, the cell develops a voltage plateau that the clipper reads as full capacity — but actual usable capacity shrinks. Over weeks, the clipper cuts out earlier each session even though the indicator looks normal. A full discharge-to-cutoff followed by a complete charge resets this and restores the cell's rated 2000mAh range.

Motor speed drops before the low-battery indicator activates

The HC-352's motor draws a brief current spike each time it meets resistance — thick or coarse hair especially. As the cell ages or sits at low charge, internal resistance rises and voltage sags under that spike. The motor slows noticeably before the battery indicator registers low, because the indicator reads resting voltage, not load voltage. If you see this, check resting voltage at the cell terminals — a healthy Ni-MH at mid-charge should read above 3.4V. Below that, the cell needs replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HC-352 motor sounds sluggish halfway through a cut even though the battery light isn't on — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under motor load. As the Ni-MH cell ages, internal resistance rises and voltage drops sharply the moment the motor hits resistance from dense hair. The indicator reads resting voltage, not load voltage, so it stays green while the motor struggles. Check the cell's resting voltage — anything below 3.4V at mid-charge means the cell can no longer hold up under motor draw and needs replacing.

My HC-352 won't charge after I rinsed it under the tap — the charger light just blinks and cuts off.

Moisture bridging the charging contacts triggers a BMS protection fault. The device reports this as a dead battery, but it is a protection trip, not a cell failure. Dry the charging port completely — leave the clipper in a warm, dry spot for several hours before connecting the charger. If the fault clears and charging resumes normally, the cell is fine. If it still won't charge after thorough drying, the BMS may need to be reset by connecting and disconnecting the charger three times in sequence.

The HC-352 cuts out quickly now but the original battery lasted much longer — is the new replacement cell the right capacity?

This is almost always a Ni-MH memory effect from repeated shallow charging, not a capacity mismatch. The replacement cell is rated at 2000mAh, matching the factory spec. If the clipper was habitually charged after short sessions without full depletion, the new cell will show the same behaviour until the memory is cleared. Run the clipper down fully to motor cutoff, then charge it completely — repeat this two to three times and the usable capacity range will reset to the full 2000mAh.
