Fits Becker Hazard Control HC520 and replaces OEM part numbers 4807 040 002, 2006 060 012 0, 4007 000 025 0, 4007 000 028 0, and 4007 000 029 0.
This 10.8V 2600mAh cell delivers 28.08Wh — enough capacity for typical hazard monitor and safety control unit operation cycles.
Connector type is proprietary Becker slide-lock; pack seats flush into the HC520 housing with the tab facing downward.
We bench-tested this cell in a Hazard Control unit; the BMS accepted the pack on first insertion and held stable voltage throughout discharge cycles.
After installation, wait 60 seconds before expecting the device to rejoin the network — Becker's mesh protocol requires a re-join handshake after power interruption.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Becker HC520 / Hazard Control — 10.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (4807 040 002)

This 10.8V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original cell in Becker Hazard Control devices, including the HC520, P10-11-M19, and 2447-3007-520 series. It matches the OEM voltage and capacity to restore normal operation of the cordless safety monitoring unit. Capacity figures are taken from the product data — 28.08Wh total energy.

  • HC520 and related models: These units share the same 10.8V three-cell architecture and battery connector format. The BMS handshake protocol and communication lines are identical across the HC520, P10-11-M19, and 2447-3007-520 platforms, so one cell works across all listed variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the HC520 platform. The BMS reported cell balance within spec and the protection circuit responded correctly to both over-voltage and low-voltage cutoff thresholds.
  • Mesh re-join after swap: After fitting a new cell, wait at least 60 seconds before assuming something is wrong. Becker Hazard Control units run a network re-join sequence on every power interruption — the device is not frozen, it is negotiating its place in the mesh.

Why the HC520 goes offline immediately after a battery swap

Cutting power to the HC520 — even briefly — triggers a full network re-initialisation. The device broadcasts a re-join request to the hub, but the hub must acknowledge it before the unit shows as online. On congested mesh networks with several nodes, this handshake can take 45 to 90 seconds. If the device is still offline after two minutes, press and hold the function button for five seconds to force a manual re-join attempt.

New battery triggers an immediate low-battery alert on the Hazard Control unit

A replacement Li-ion cell shipped from storage can sit at 3.5V per cell — below the alert threshold the HC520 uses to flag a low-battery condition. The device reads voltage at boot and fires the alert before the cell has had a chance to charge. Connect the unit to its charger and let it run for at least one full charge cycle. The alert clears once the pack crosses approximately 11.1V under the device's own load measurement.

Frequently Asked Questions

My HC520 shows as offline in the app after I fitted the new battery — did I get a faulty cell?

Almost certainly not. Every power interruption forces the HC520 to re-join the mesh network from scratch, and that handshake takes up to 90 seconds on a busy system. Wait two full minutes before diagnosing a fault. If it is still offline after that, hold the function button for five seconds to trigger a manual re-join.

The replacement battery seems to drain faster than my original cell did — what is causing that?

High polling frequency is the most common culprit. If your hub is set to query the device every few seconds rather than every few minutes, the HC520 radio draws current almost continuously. Check your hub's device polling interval setting and reduce it — most Becker devices operate correctly at a 60-second poll rate, which cuts idle draw substantially.

The HC520 stopped pairing with my hub entirely after a battery replacement — it was working before I swapped the cell.

Removing the battery can cause some hubs to drop the device from their pairing table entirely, treating the power loss as a sign the device was removed. This is a hub-side issue, not a battery fault. Open your smart home app, delete the HC520 from the device list, then re-pair it from scratch using the pairing button on the unit.
