Fits Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 44mm model SM-R945 and replaces OEM part EB-BR945ABY.
3.8V, 410mAh lithium-polymer cell restores multi-day runtime on fitness tracking and heart rate monitoring.
Connector seats into the watch's magnetic charging dock with no locking tab — alignment matters.
We bench-tested this cell in an SM-R945 unit; the BMS accepted the new pack without fault codes.
Place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately after installation and charge to 100% before wear — the fuel gauge IC cannot calibrate without a full charge cycle from near-zero after a cell swap.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 44mm — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BR945ABY)

This 3.8V, 410mAh lithium-polymer cell is a direct swap for the original battery in the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 44mm. It fits SM-R940 and SM-R945 variants. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a full day of normal use.

  • SM-R940 and SM-R945 compatibility: Both variants use the same physical cell footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake. The EB-BR945ABY is the OEM reference for both, so one replacement cell covers either model without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Watch 6 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without flag or error, and the fuel gauge IC re-initialised correctly after a full charge cycle from near-zero.
  • Post-swap first charge: After fitting the new cell, place the watch on its magnetic charger immediately and charge to 100% before first use. The fuel gauge IC on this platform cannot set an accurate state-of-charge reference without a complete charge cycle from near-zero following a cell swap. Skipping this step causes the watch to report incorrect battery percentages for days.

Always-on display and continuous heart rate monitoring on a 410mAh cell

The Galaxy Watch 6 44mm runs its AMOLED display, BioActive sensor, and Bluetooth stack simultaneously. With always-on display enabled alongside continuous heart rate monitoring, the combined draw can stress a degraded original cell noticeably. A fresh 410mAh cell restores the headroom the platform expects. If drain still seems heavy after the swap, check whether continuous heart rate mode is on — that sensor alone adds a steady background current load.

Watch not pairing after battery replacement

Removing the battery kills the active Bluetooth session between the watch and your phone. The phone holds a stale connection record and the watch starts fresh with no session reference — they can't find each other automatically. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your phone, forget the watch, then re-pair from scratch. Once paired, confirm the watch charges past 3.9V on the magnetic charger to verify the new cell and charge contacts are seated correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy Watch 6 shows 0% and won't turn on right after I swapped the battery — is the new cell dead?

The cell is almost certainly fine. When you remove the original battery, the fuel gauge IC loses its state-of-charge reference entirely and wakes up with no data to work from. Place the watch on its magnetic charger and let it charge uninterrupted to 100% before pressing any buttons. After that full charge cycle, the gauge re-calibrates and the watch will power on and report an accurate percentage.

Battery is draining in a single day but it used to last two or more days — what changed?

Check two settings first: always-on display and continuous heart rate monitoring. Both run constantly in the background and together draw enough current to cut the 410mAh cell's effective run time roughly in half compared to default settings. If those settings haven't changed, the sensor current profile on a new cell can read slightly heavier than a broken-in cell for the first week — that normalises. Disable always-on display temporarily and see whether drain drops back to multi-day levels.

The heart rate and GPS sensors seem to drain the new battery faster than the old one did — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. A new cell presents a slightly different impedance to the BioActive sensor and GPS radio than a degraded original cell does. The platform's power draw looks higher on paper during the first several charge cycles while the cell settles. This is normal and levels out within five to seven days of regular use. If drain is still noticeably heavier after that period, check that location accuracy is not set to high-precision mode, which keeps the GPS radio on longer per session.
