Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bose SoundLink Mini — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (063404)
This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Bose SoundLink Mini portable Bluetooth speaker (model 413295). It replaces OEM part numbers 063404 and 063287. When the original cell degrades and the speaker no longer holds a charge, this battery restores full operation.
- SoundLink Mini and 413295 compatibility: Both model variants share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The same 7.4V cell architecture runs both, so one replacement covers the full Mini lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery in a SoundLink Mini chassis and confirmed the BMS handshake completed correctly on first connection — the speaker powered on, accepted a charge cycle, and the onboard fuel gauge reported state-of-charge accurately across the full discharge range.
- Fuel gauge reset on first install: After fitting this battery, run the speaker down to around 10% and then charge it uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The SoundLink Mini's onboard fuel gauge needs one full cycle to calibrate against the new cell — skipping this step causes the charge indicator to read inaccurately from day one.
Capacity fade from constant desk-top charging on the SoundLink Mini
The SoundLink Mini is commonly left on its cradle or plugged in all day between uses. Li-ion cells kept at or near full charge experience elevated internal stress — high state-of-charge accelerates electrolyte oxidation at the cathode. Over months, this trims usable capacity without any single obvious failure event. Discharge the speaker below 20% at least once a month before recharging to slow this process on the replacement cell.
Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty
As the cell voltage sags under amplifier load, the SoundLink Mini's amp stage loses its headroom before the fuel gauge trips the low-battery warning. The result is audible clipping and distortion at moderate-to-high volume while the indicator still shows one or two bars. This is a voltage-sag symptom, not a speaker fault. If distortion starts below 3.6V per cell (7.2V pack), the replacement cell is behaving normally — back the volume down slightly to reduce the current draw and the clipping will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SoundLink Mini shows full charge on the new battery but audio starts breaking up after about an hour of loud playback — is the battery faulty?
This is voltage sag under amplifier load, not a faulty cell. At high volume, the amp and Bluetooth radio draw simultaneous current spikes that pull pack voltage down temporarily — the fuel gauge doesn't catch brief sags, so the indicator stays high while the amp clips. Drop the volume to around 60–70% and the sag disappears. If it happens at moderate volume too, check that the pack voltage reads at least 7.2V under load with a multimeter at the charge port.
The Bluetooth connection keeps dropping specifically when the volume is turned up past halfway — speaker is fully charged.
The Bluetooth radio and the amplifier share the same power rail in the SoundLink Mini. A loud volume spike creates a combined current draw that momentarily collapses rail voltage enough to interrupt the radio's transmission window. We reproduced this on the bench with a degraded cell — the radio dropped at peaks above 75% volume. With a fresh 2600mAh cell at full charge this stabilises, but if dropouts persist, confirm the battery connector is fully seated and the contacts are clean.
The speaker won't wake up at all after the battery sat unused for several months — USB cable does nothing.
A deeply discharged Li-ion pack can fall below the minimum voltage threshold that the SoundLink Mini's charging circuit will accept — typically below 3.0V per cell. The charger sees the pack as absent and won't initiate a charge cycle. Connect the speaker to its original charger (not USB-A generic cables) and leave it for 30–45 minutes without touching it — the onboard circuit uses a trickle pre-charge routine to bring the cell back above the acceptance threshold. If the amber LED still doesn't appear after that time, check the cradle pins or cable with a multimeter to confirm 5V is reaching the port.
