Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bose SoundLink / SoundTouch 20 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (330107)
This 11.1V, 2200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Bose SoundLink, SoundLink 3, SoundTouch 20, and related models. It covers OEM part numbers 330107, 330107A, 359495, 359498, 330105, 330105A, 404600, and 404900. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a full listening session.
- SoundLink and SoundTouch 20 compatibility: These models share the same 11.1V three-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — so one battery covers the full group without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a SoundLink unit, confirmed the BMS handshake completed without fault codes, and verified the fuel gauge reported accurately across the full state-of-charge range.
- Fuel gauge reset after install: After fitting this battery, run it down to the low-battery warning before the first recharge. The SoundLink's fuel gauge calibrates on a full discharge-to-charge cycle — skipping this step causes the indicator to read full while the speaker cuts out early.
Capacity fade from constant desk-top charging on the SoundLink
The SoundLink is frequently left on its charger between uses — topped off before it drops below 60%. Li-ion cells cycled repeatedly in the upper voltage band lose active lithium faster than cells allowed to discharge more fully. Over months, the usable capacity shrinks while the fuel gauge still reads normal. Letting the pack drop below 20% at least once a month before recharging slows this degradation and keeps the gauge accurate.
Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty
At high volume, the SoundLink amplifier pulls current spikes that cause the battery voltage to sag below the amp's clean-power threshold while the gauge still shows charge remaining. The result is audible clipping or distortion — not a speaker fault. This happens most on aged cells but can also occur on a new battery if the fuel gauge is uncalibrated. Run one full discharge cycle after installing this battery, and the gauge will align with actual cell voltage so the speaker behaves predictably at all volume levels.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SoundLink Bluetooth keeps dropping at high volume — is that a battery problem or a speaker fault?
It's most likely the battery. At high volume, the amplifier and Bluetooth radio draw current simultaneously, and that combined spike causes voltage to sag enough to disrupt the radio circuit. We saw this on the bench with a discharged cell — the connection dropped above a certain volume threshold and recovered when volume was reduced. Fit a fully charged, calibrated battery and test at full volume before assuming a speaker fault.
The SoundLink feels warm through the fabric grille during long play sessions — should I be concerned?
Some warmth is expected. The amplifier generates heat during playback, and the battery adds its own discharge heat in the enclosed housing. If the unit becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or if it cuts out and needs to cool before restarting, that points to the battery cell struggling under sustained current draw. A replacement pack at full rated capacity will run noticeably cooler than a degraded original cell under the same load.
I left my SoundLink in a bag for several months and now it won't respond to the charger at all — what's happening?
Extended storage without a charge allows the Li-ion cell to self-discharge below the minimum voltage the charger's USB circuit will accept. The BMS locks out the charge path to protect the cell. Connect the original Bose charger — not a USB hub — and leave it for 30 to 60 minutes without expecting any indicator response. If the cell recovers above the acceptance threshold, the BMS will re-enable charging and the LED will activate. If there is still no response after an hour, the cell has discharged too deeply to recover and the battery needs replacement.
