Fits Cleer Stage portable speaker, replacing original ICR18650 battery pack.
7.4V at 2600mAh delivers the voltage and capacity needed to restore full charge cycles on the Stage.
Slides into the battery compartment with a straight push-fit connection; no locking tab or orientation puzzle.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the bench — BMS accepted the pack cleanly and held voltage stable through playback.
On first use with the Stage, discharge the cell fully before the initial recharge to let the fuel gauge calibrate correctly; shallow top-offs from day one cause capacity fade on this platform.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cleer Stage — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ICR18650)

This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Cleer Stage portable Bluetooth speaker. It uses ICR18650 cells wired in a 2S configuration to match the Stage's internal power rail. Swap it in when the original pack no longer holds a usable charge or fails to power the speaker at all.

  • Cleer Stage fit: The Stage runs its amplifier and Bluetooth radio off a shared 7.4V rail. This pack matches that voltage, the cell format, and the connector orientation the Stage's charging circuit expects — no BMS handshake mismatch on reconnect.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through charge and discharge cycles on a cell analyser. The BMS engaged low-voltage cutoff cleanly and the pack accepted a full charge cycle without thermal event or charge-refusal from the protection circuit.
  • Monthly discharge cycle for the Stage: The Stage is frequently used as a desk speaker and topped off before dropping below 50%. Let the speaker drain below 20% at least once a month before recharging — this recalibrates the fuel gauge and slows capacity fade on the ICR18650 cells.

Why the Cleer Stage cuts audio and dims the LED at high volume

At high volume, the Stage's amplifier draws peak current that combines with the Bluetooth radio draw. An aged or low-capacity pack sags under that combined load, and the BMS reads the voltage dip as a near-empty cell. The speaker's firmware interprets this as a low-battery condition and throttles output to protect the pack. A fresh 2600mAh pack at full charge holds enough voltage headroom to sustain the combined draw without triggering that cutoff.

Stage won't wake up from USB-C even after plugging in overnight

If the Stage has sat discharged for weeks, the ICR18650 cells can drop below the minimum acceptance voltage for the USB-C PD handshake — typically below 2.5V per cell. At that point the charger sees no valid negotiation and delivers no current, so the speaker appears completely dead even after a full night on charge. The fix is to use a basic 5V USB-A cable bypassing PD negotiation, or replace the pack entirely if the cells won't recover above 2.8V per cell after a recovery charge attempt.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cleer Stage plays fine for about an hour then the audio drops out even though the battery indicator still shows charge — what's happening?

This is amplifier voltage sag, not a dead battery. As the pack discharges past roughly 50%, the combined draw of the amplifier and Bluetooth radio pulls the cell voltage low enough that the speaker's protection firmware cuts output — even though the fuel gauge still reads mid-charge. A new 2600mAh pack holds a higher resting voltage across the full discharge curve, which gives the amplifier enough headroom to run through a longer session without hitting that cutoff threshold.

The audio distorts badly near the end of a charge cycle but the battery indicator hasn't reached empty yet — is this a speaker fault or a battery fault?

This is almost always the battery. When ICR18650 cells age, their internal resistance rises, and the amplifier's current spikes cause a sharper voltage drop under load. That drop pushes the amplifier into clipping before the fuel gauge registers empty, because the gauge reads average voltage rather than peak sag. Replace the pack and check whether the distortion disappears at the same volume level — if it does, the original cells were the cause.

My Cleer Stage gets noticeably warm during extended play sessions — should I be concerned about the battery?

Some warmth is normal. The Stage's amplifier generates heat, and that heat is trapped against the battery in a compact fabric housing. The concern starts if the housing becomes hot to the touch or the speaker shuts off mid-session without a low-battery warning. An aged pack with high internal resistance discharges with more heat output than a fresh cell. If the speaker is running warm and charge capacity has dropped noticeably, replacing the pack removes the primary heat source and brings thermal behaviour back to normal operating range.
