Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Harman/Kardon Traveler — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (GSP075462)
This is a 3.8V, 3200mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Harman/Kardon Traveler portable Bluetooth speaker (HTRAVBLK-00050). It replaces the OEM cell GSP075462 when the original pack no longer holds a charge through a full listening session. Capacity is 3200mAh (12.16Wh) — matching the factory specification.
- Traveler and HTRAVBLK-00050 compatibility: Both model designations share the same 3.8V power rail, PCM connector pinout, and cell footprint (65.40 × 53.30 × 7.20mm). One battery covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the Traveler mainboard. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, fuel gauge initialised correctly, and the amplifier stage drew current normally across the full charge window.
- Monthly discharge cycle for the Traveler: Let the speaker run down below 20% at least once a month before plugging it in. The Traveler charges opportunistically when docked on a desk — constant top-off charging without a full discharge causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade on the Li-Polymer cell.
Audio distortion before the battery indicator reaches empty on the Traveler
As a Li-Polymer cell ages, its internal resistance rises. Under amplifier load, voltage sags faster than the fuel gauge can register. The amplifier hits its lower operating threshold and clips the audio signal before the indicator shows critical. Fitting a fresh cell with lower internal resistance restores the voltage headroom the amplifier needs. After swapping the battery, charge to full and run one complete discharge cycle to recalibrate the fuel gauge.
Traveler not responding to USB-C after sitting unused for several months
A deeply discharged Li-Polymer cell can drop below the minimum voltage threshold that USB-C PD chargers will negotiate with — typically around 2.5V per cell. When this happens, the speaker shows no charging indicator and appears completely dead. The BMS has disconnected the cell to prevent damage and will not re-engage until the cell voltage is above the recovery threshold. Use a charger that supports trickle or pre-charge mode, leave it connected for 15–20 minutes, and the BMS should re-initialise and accept a normal charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Harman/Kardon Traveler shows a full battery but the audio cuts out after about an hour of play — is the new battery going to fix that?
That symptom points to capacity fade in the original cell, not a charging circuit fault. A degraded Li-Polymer cell loses usable capacity while still reporting a high state-of-charge to the fuel gauge. Fitting a fresh 3200mAh GSP075462 cell restores the actual energy storage the speaker was built around. After installation, run one full charge-to-discharge cycle so the fuel gauge recalibrates to the new cell.
Bluetooth keeps dropping specifically when the Traveler is playing at high volume — does this happen with a new battery too?
High-volume playback spikes the amplifier's current draw sharply, and the Bluetooth radio pulls additional current at the same moment. On a degraded cell, combined draw causes a voltage sag that briefly starves the radio and drops the connection. We tested this pack at sustained high-output levels on the Traveler mainboard and saw no sag-related radio dropout. If dropouts persist after fitting the new battery, the fault is in the RF environment or the Bluetooth pairing, not the power supply.
The Traveler speaker feels noticeably warm through the fabric housing during long play sessions — is that a battery problem?
Some warmth is normal — the amplifier generates heat during extended play, and that heat builds up inside the fabric enclosure. However, if the original battery is degraded, its rising internal resistance adds a second heat source as it works harder to sustain voltage under load. A fresh cell with low internal resistance produces significantly less resistive heat during discharge. If the housing still runs hot after replacing the battery, check that the speaker's vents are not blocked by the surface it is resting on.
