Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mipro MA-101B / MA-202 Series — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MB-25)
This is a 14.8V 2600mAh (38.48Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Mipro MA-101B and MA-202 portable PA speaker systems. It slots directly into battery-powered amplification units used for presentations, public address, and small event work. OEM part numbers MB-25 and MB-25N both match this pack.
- MA-101B and MA-202 platform fit: These models share the same 14.8V four-cell Li-ion architecture, battery bay dimensions, and BMS handshake protocol. A single replacement pack covers both the MA-101B personal wireless PA and the MA-202 and MA-202B units without any modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the MA-101B chassis. The BMS accepted charge without triggering protection cutoff, communicated state-of-charge correctly to the onboard indicator, and held voltage through sustained amplifier draw at normal listening levels.
- Monthly discharge cycle for MA-series units: These speakers are often kept plugged in at a venue or on a desk between events. Constant top-off charging without a full discharge causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade on the Li-ion cells. Run the speaker down below 20% at least once a month before recharging.
Why the MA-101B audio clips and distorts before the battery indicator reads empty
The MA-101B amplifier stage needs a stable voltage rail to deliver clean output. As a Li-ion pack ages, internal resistance rises, and the cell voltage sags under the combined draw of the amplifier and wireless receiver. The BMS still reports the pack as partially charged, but the actual delivered voltage drops low enough that the amp clips before the fuel gauge hits empty. Replacing the pack restores the voltage headroom the amplifier needs and eliminates clipping at normal volumes.
Speaker shows full charge but audio drops out after extended play
This is a capacity fade symptom caused by shallow-cycle degradation — the pack was repeatedly topped off before dropping below 50%, and the usable cell capacity has shrunk. The indicator shows full because the BMS is calibrated to a cell it no longer accurately tracks. The speaker cuts out not because charge is gone, but because the remaining capacity is too small to sustain amplifier draw through a full session. A full discharge-to-recharge cycle on the new pack resets the fuel gauge baseline and restores accurate state-of-charge reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions
My MA-101B Bluetooth keeps cutting out at high volume even with a charged battery — is the battery causing this?
Yes, this is a voltage sag issue under combined load. At high volume, the amplifier and Bluetooth radio draw current simultaneously, and a degraded or undercharged pack sags below the voltage threshold the radio needs to hold its connection. We saw this on the bench — the radio drops first because the amplifier gets priority on the voltage rail. Charge the new pack fully before the first high-volume session and confirm the resting voltage reads at least 16.4V off the charger.
The MA-202 feels noticeably warm during long events — is that normal with a new battery?
Some warmth is normal — the amplifier generates heat, and the Li-ion cells add discharge heat inside a compact housing. What is not normal is heat that builds progressively and doesn't level off. If the housing stays warm but stable after the first 20–30 minutes of play, the thermal load is within spec. If it keeps climbing, check that the battery bay vents are clear and that the pack is seated fully — a partially seated pack increases contact resistance, which adds heat at the terminals.
The MA-101B won't respond when I press power after the battery went completely flat in storage — how do I recover it?
A deeply discharged Li-ion pack can drop below the BMS minimum acceptance voltage, which causes the BMS to block incoming charge as a cell-protection measure. Connect the charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons — most BMS controllers on this platform will trickle-charge the cells back above the threshold and then resume normal charging. If the charge indicator still shows nothing after 45 minutes, check that the charger output reads 16.8V at the connector before concluding the pack is unrecoverable.
