Fits Fromm Dynamic 2100 strapping tool, replaces OEM part N5-4345.
14.4V and 3000mAh capacity delivers full tensioning force on plastic strapping cycles without voltage sag.
Connector seats into the tool's battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested the pack on Dynamic 2100 tensioning cycles — BMS held stable under peak motor draw, no early cutoff observed.
On first use in a cold warehouse below 10°C, warm this cell to room temperature before operation; the tensioning motor peaks sharply enough to trip the BMS on a cold pack.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fromm Dynamic 2100 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (N5-4345)

This is a 14.4V, 3000mAh Li-ion battery for the Fromm Dynamic 2100 cordless plastic strapping tool. It replaces OEM part number N5-4345. The Dynamic 2100 uses this pack to drive the tensioning motor and welding mechanism through repeated strapping cycles in warehouse and logistics environments.

  • Dynamic 2100 fit: The Dynamic 2100 tensioning motor draws current in sharp peaks — especially at maximum tension. This pack's cell configuration and connector match the original voltage rail and BMS handshake, so the tool's tension and weld cycles run as expected without tripping a false fault.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through full tensioning-and-weld cycles on the Dynamic 2100 bench rig. The BMS held under peak motor load at maximum tension setting, and the weld trigger received consistent voltage through the discharge curve.
  • Cold warehouse start-up: In warehouses below 10°C, a cold Li-ion cell can't sustain the current spike the tensioning motor demands on its first hard pull. Let the pack sit at room temperature for 15–20 minutes before the first cycle of the shift — this prevents a BMS overcurrent trip on start-up that looks like a faulty battery.

BMS cutoff during the tensioning cycle on the Dynamic 2100

The Dynamic 2100's tensioning motor draws current in a steep ramp as strap tension increases, peaking sharply at maximum tension. If the BMS reads that spike as an overcurrent event, it trips and kills power mid-cycle — the tool stops before the weld fires. This happens most often with cold cells or packs that sat discharged for several weeks. A full charge cycle restores cell voltage to the acceptance threshold, and the BMS clears the fault on the next power-on.

Charger showing a fault light on a new pack after storage

Li-ion packs shipped or stored for extended periods can drop below 10V — the minimum acceptance voltage most Dynamic 2100 chargers will recognise. When cell voltage is too low, the charger rejects the pack and shows a fault or error indicator instead of beginning a charge cycle. Place the pack on the charger and leave it for 10–15 minutes without removing it — many chargers run a low-current recovery pulse before switching to the main charge phase. If the fault clears and the charge indicator activates, the pack has recovered; if it stays faulted after 20 minutes, check that the charger output voltage reads at least 16.8V at the terminals with a multimeter.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dynamic 2100 is tensioning but the strap keeps breaking before it reaches the set tension — is that a battery issue?

Yes, this matches voltage sag under peak motor load. When a Li-ion pack's internal resistance rises — from age, a partial discharge state, or dirty contacts — the terminal voltage drops under the high current draw of the tensioning cycle, and the motor can't reach full torque before the strap breaks. Clean the battery contact points on the tool and pack with a dry cloth, then charge the pack to full. If the tool still can't hit set tension, check the resting voltage of the charged pack with a multimeter — it should read 16.8V; anything below 15.5V points to a degraded cell.

The weld isn't fusing the strap properly even though the tensioning cycle looks normal — what's causing that?

The weld mechanism fires a high-current pulse in a very short window, and it needs the pack to be above a minimum state-of-charge to deliver enough voltage at the weld trigger. If the pack is partly discharged, the terminal voltage sags during the weld pulse and the joint underheats — it looks bonded but peels apart under load. Charge the pack fully before the shift and retest; the weld pulse on a full pack at 16.8V should produce a clean, fused joint.

The Dynamic 2100 is doing far fewer strapping cycles per charge than it used to — what's happening?

The tensioning motor's peak current draw is significantly higher than the rated average discharge current, so each hard tensioning cycle costs more capacity than spec tables suggest. If the number of cycles per charge has dropped noticeably, the most common cause is shallow-cycle degradation — repeatedly topping up a pack that's only 20–30% discharged compresses the usable capacity over time. Run the pack down to the tool's low-battery indicator before recharging, and do this for two or three full cycles to recondition the cell's usable range.
