Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bosch GLM 100 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (2 609 169 034)
This 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell replaces the rechargeable battery in the Bosch GLM 100 laser distance meter. It fits the GLM 100 and associated model numbers including 3601K723B0, 3601K72300, and 3601K72370. Slim-profile dimensions of 53.60 × 33.80 × 6.40mm match the original battery bay exactly.
- GLM 100 platform fit: These GLM 100 variants share the same battery bay geometry, 3.7V supply rail, and connector pinout. One battery covers the full listed model range without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the GLM 100's measurement and display draw profile. The BMS held steady across repeated burst draws at laser trigger events and maintained stable output voltage through the full discharge curve.
- First-install calibration step: After fitting this battery, run a full calibration cycle through the GLM 100's instrument menu before taking it to site. The meter maps battery state during calibration — skipping this step causes premature low-battery warnings during your first measurement session in the field.
GLM 100 shutting down mid-measurement despite a charged battery
The GLM 100 fires the laser and drives the display simultaneously — that combined draw creates a brief current spike at the moment of measurement. If the cell has degraded internal resistance, voltage sags enough during that spike to trip the BMS undervoltage cutoff, even when the indicator shows a partial charge. A new cell with lower internal resistance handles the spike without dropping below the cutoff threshold. If shutdowns persist after fitting a replacement, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact.
GLM 100 not powering on after sitting unused for several months
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the GLM 100 sat unused long enough, the cell voltage drops below the BMS recovery threshold — typically around 2.5V — and the protection circuit locks out to prevent damage. The meter will show no response at all, which looks like a dead instrument rather than a flat battery. Place the battery on a compatible charger and allow a slow trickle charge to bring the cell voltage back above the recovery threshold before attempting to power on the meter.

Frequently Asked Questions
My GLM 100 powers on fine but shuts off every time I try to transfer data to my laptop via USB — what's happening?
USB data transfer adds a second load on top of the display and processor draw. If the battery is partially depleted, that combined current pull drops the supply voltage far enough to trigger the BMS cutoff — even though the meter runs normally on its own. Charge the battery fully before any USB session. If the problem continues, check that the USB cable is not drawing bus power from the meter at the same time.
The battery percentage on the GLM 100 display jumps around erratically after I fitted this new cell — is the meter faulty?
The GLM 100's voltage-threshold indicator recalibrates itself to a new cell over the first several charge-discharge cycles. On a fresh cell the meter hasn't mapped yet, the displayed percentage can spike or drop inconsistently at startup and mid-session. Run two or three full charge and discharge cycles through normal measurement use, then perform the calibration cycle in the instrument menu. The readout will stabilise once the meter has logged enough voltage-curve data from the new cell.
My GLM 100 readings reset or the display blanks briefly mid-session — the battery looks charged, so what causes this?
Brief display resets during active measuring are almost always a voltage dropout under sustained sensor load — not a capacity problem. The laser, processor, and display all draw current at once during a measurement string, and a marginal cell can't hold the voltage rail steady under that sustained load even if it reads partially charged at rest. Check the battery contacts for oxidation or debris first, as a resistive contact amplifies the sag. If contacts are clean and the behaviour continues, the cell needs replacement — rest voltage above 3.6V does not rule out this fault.
