Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolview 1400XT / 2100XT Surgical Headlight — 7.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (RRC2057)
This 7.2V 6600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the pack in Coolview 1400XT and 2100XT Surgical Headlights. It matches the original cell voltage, capacity, and connector configuration. Replaces OEM part numbers RRC2057, PT9-BAT, SE2057-1, and the full ND2057 variant range.
- 1400XT and 2100XT platform fit: Both headlight models share the same 7.2V battery bay, BMS communication protocol, and physical latch. One pack covers both units — no connector adaptation or firmware difference between them.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through a full charge-discharge cycle on a Coolview headlight body. The BMS accepted the charge handshake on first contact, held output voltage steady under sustained LED draw, and triggered the low-cell protection cutoff at the correct threshold.
- Post-installation headlight calibration: After swapping this pack in, cycle the headlight through a full brightness sweep before use in a procedure. The intensity control circuit reads battery state during that sweep, and skipping it can cause a false low-battery indicator to appear during the first use session.
Why the 1400XT drops to minimum brightness mid-procedure without warning
The 1400XT's BMS monitors each cell individually, not just total pack voltage. When one cell in an aged pack sags below the per-cell floor — even briefly — the BMS steps the LED driver back to its lowest current draw to prevent an uncontrolled shutdown. This looks like a sudden dimming event rather than a flat battery warning. A new pack with balanced cells eliminates this behaviour. If it recurs early in a replacement pack's life, check that the battery contacts in the bay are clean and making full contact.
Headlight powers on but shuts off the moment maximum brightness is selected
Maximum brightness pulls the highest current from the pack. If the battery has been sitting discharged for an extended period, the BMS may enter a low-voltage lockout state that allows a brief startup but cuts off under load. The fix is a slow pre-charge: connect the charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on the headlight. Most Coolview chargers detect the low-state pack and apply a trickle current first. Once pack voltage recovers to approximately 7.0V, normal charging and full-brightness operation resume.

Frequently Asked Questions
The headlight charges fully but shuts off as soon as I switch to the high-intensity setting — what's causing that?
High-intensity mode draws a surge of current that a deeply discharged or storage-depleted pack cannot sustain. The BMS trips the output to protect the cells. Connect the charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes before powering the headlight on — this lets the charger push a recovery trickle charge into the pack. Once voltage climbs back above approximately 7.0V, the BMS clears the lockout and full-brightness operation works normally.
The battery sat unused in the headlight case for several months and now the charger won't recognise it — is the pack dead?
Probably not. A Li-ion pack left discharged for months can drop below the BMS wake threshold, which makes it look unresponsive to the charger. Connect the pack to the charger and wait — some Coolview chargers take up to 10 minutes before the charge LED activates on a deeply sleeping pack. If the charger still shows no activity after 15 minutes, try a different charging cable and confirm the bay contacts are clean before concluding the pack is unrecoverable.
The brightness level on the headlight reads inconsistently on the indicator — sometimes it shows full, then drops two bars immediately after startup. Is this a faulty battery?
This is a voltage-threshold calibration mismatch, not a faulty cell. The headlight's indicator maps LED current draw back to estimated charge level, and after a pack swap it takes one complete charge-discharge cycle for that mapping to stabilise. Run the headlight from a full charge through to the automatic low-battery shutoff once, then recharge fully. After that conditioning cycle, the indicator should read consistently across brightness levels.
