Fits Hantek DSO-1062B, DSO-1202B, DSO-1202S oscilloscopes; replaces OEM battery PL727076.
This 7.4V 4500mAh Li-Polymer pack delivers 33.3Wh for extended field measurements without AC power dependency.
Connector slides straight in with positive contact on left side; locking tab engages flush against instrument chassis.
We bench-tested the BMS under sustained probe-load current draw; no cutoff observed during continuous signal logging.
After installation, run full calibration through the instrument menu before field deployment — skipping this causes premature low-battery warnings on first measurement session.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Hantek DSO-1062B / DSO-1202B Series — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL727076)

This 7.4V 4500mAh Li-Polymer pack replaces the OEM PL727076 battery in Hantek DSO-1062B, DSO-1202B, and DSO-1202S portable digital storage oscilloscopes. It restores untethered operation for field diagnostics, signal tracing, and electronics troubleshooting away from AC power. Capacity figure is 4500mAh / 33.3Wh as listed in the product specification.

  • DSO-1062B / DSO-1202B / DSO-1202S compatibility: These three models share the same 7.4V nominal voltage rail, identical PL727076 form factor (75.00 × 64.20 × 13.00mm), and the same BMS handshake protocol — swapping the pack across any of the three units requires no modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the DSO-1062B's charge circuit and monitored BMS cutoff thresholds under live probe load. The protection circuit tripped correctly at under-voltage and over-current limits without false shutdowns during signal acquisition.
  • First-use calibration on the DSO-1062B: After installing, run a full calibration cycle through the instrument's system menu before taking it into the field. The oscilloscope maps battery state during calibration — skipping this step causes premature low-battery warnings on the first measurement session.

BMS cutoff when the DSO-1062B probe inputs initialise

At power-on, the DSO-1062B energises its front-end probe circuitry in a short burst that pulls a higher current than steady-state operation. A weakened or deeply discharged pack can't sustain that spike, and the BMS cuts output to protect the cells. The result looks like the unit powers up then immediately shuts off — not a display fault. Charge the replacement pack to at least 8.0V before the first boot to ensure the BMS stays latched through initialisation.

Voltage sag causing readings to drift or reset mid-logging session

During a sustained logging session, the oscilloscope draws steady current across both the display backlight and the acquisition circuitry simultaneously. If cell internal resistance has risen — common in packs that sat unused — voltage sags under that combined load and the instrument resets its timebase or drops data. This is a cell condition issue, not a firmware fault. Charge the new pack fully, then confirm resting voltage reads 8.3–8.4V before starting a long capture run.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DSO-1062B won't recognise the new battery after it sat in the carry case for months — the screen just stays blank.

A pack that has sat below roughly 6.0V for an extended period puts the BMS into sleep mode, and the oscilloscope's charge circuit won't wake it from a standard charge attempt. Connect the pack to a Li-Po compatible charger that supports a recovery or "trickle boost" mode and let it run until cell voltage climbs above 6.5V. Once it crosses that threshold the BMS re-initialises and the DSO-1062B's own charge circuit can take over. Confirm the pack reaches a resting voltage of 8.3V before installing it in the unit.

The DSO-1062B shuts down every time I plug in the USB cable to transfer data to my laptop — battery percentage looks fine before I connect.

USB data transfer adds a simultaneous draw on top of the display and acquisition circuits, and the combined current pull causes a voltage dropout the BMS reads as an unsafe condition. This usually happens when cell capacity has faded or the pack hasn't been fully charged before the session. Charge the replacement pack completely, confirm resting voltage at 8.3–8.4V, then attempt the transfer. If shutdown still occurs, reduce backlight brightness through the system menu to lower the total draw before connecting USB.

The battery percentage on the DSO-1062B jumps around — it shows 60%, I take a measurement, and it drops straight to 15% with no warning.

The DSO-1062B estimates charge level by reading cell voltage against a fixed lookup table. A brand-new pack or one with different cell characteristics sits outside the table the instrument was calibrated against, so the percentage reads inconsistently until the instrument has mapped the new cell's discharge curve. Run two full charge-and-discharge cycles through normal instrument use, then perform a calibration pass through the system menu. After that, the voltage thresholds align and the percentage indicator stabilises.
